Massa's Reason for Resigning. Doing (or not doing) Barney Frank's Job

“One of them looked at me and as they would do after, I don’t know, 15 gin and tonics, and goodness only knows how many bottles of champagne, a staff member made an intonation to me that maybe I should be chasing after the bridesmaid and his points were clear and his words were far more colorful than that,” Massa said. “And I grabbed the staff member sitting next to me and said, ‘Well, what I really ought to be doing is fracking you.’ And then I tousled the guy’s hair and left..." -- Massa Details Ethics Case Against Him, Blames Democratic Leaders - Roll Call

So this is how it goes now? I thought it was okay to be gay in DC Democrat circles. I thought it was "Do ask. Do tell." I thought that line dancing at the White House was out and ballet was in. I thought "Giuliani time was over (except between consenting adults.)" and Napolitano time was striking midnight with glass slippers all around. But evidently some animals are more equal than others even inside the Democrat Animal Farm. Make one suggestion in Barney Frank's wheelhouse and fail to vote the party line and the next day your phone rings and says "Get out of Dodge or else."

Once upon a time Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards quipped, "The only way I can lose this election is if I'm caught in bed with either a dead girl or a live boy." That's clearly no longer necessary in DC. Now you just have to be flirting with a live boy while positioning yourself against the current Zombified healthcare bill. That's all. You're done. You don't even get to get laid before you're screwed.

Makes you wonder what level the threats will go to get reluctant Democrat congressmen into line on this vote. Visits from the Secret Service to your home at four in the morning? "We're just here to make sure your security is state of the art congressman." Envelopes slipped into your coat pocket with telephoto pictures of your children leaving school? Other sorts of subtle reminders. Some might say, "They wouldn't." I'd say, "Wouldn't they?"

Oh well, it's sayonara for Massa. What can one say to the congressman except... "Stupid, stupid, stupid." What can one say to DemoZombies other than... "Well played." Massa's departure leaves them not only with one less no vote but one less vote needed for passage since it reduces the number of sitting congressmen by one. It's a twofer.

Somewhere tonight, Barney Frank is cracking open a bottle of chilled Cristal, tousling the hair of that young staff member and saying, "You've got a chip in the big game now, boy. And seeing that we've finished fracking Massa, what I should be doing is fracking you."

Pan to soft candle flame and fade to black.

UPDATE: Just fooling around. Just a little game of "Dogpile on the wabbit!"

The Washington Post, citing anonymous sources, first reported that the House ethics panel is investigating allegations Massa groped multiple male staffers in his office.

Massa told Fox News that, yes, he groped a male staffer -- but not sexually.

"Not only did I grope him, I tickled him until he couldn't breathe and then four guys jumped on top of me," he said. "It was my 50th birthday. It was 'kill the old guy.' You can take anything out of context." -- FOXNews.com - Massa: 'I Forced Myself Out' of Congress

Well, as long as wading pools and Wesson Oil weren't involved, that clears that up. Right? Right.

“And I grabbed the staff member. . ."

I think I see what the fuss is about.

Oy, Battlestar Galactica... late Julio-Claudian, Romanesque intrigue... bathhouse fingering...

I'll be in my bunk.

Everyone should slow down before taking this weasel’s word for what supposedly happened. Example - plenty of congressmen/women who voted against the health care bill are still alive and kicking.

I live in Massa’s district, I wouldn’t trust him to give me change for a dollar.

If he didn’t do anything wrong why did he resign so quickly?

Wallow in the pits with pigs you’ll get shit on ya’.

They've got him sufficiently worked up now that I
don't think he's leaving before the vote.

He's doing a one hour spectacular on Glenn Beck's circus tonight. Hope Glenn has done his homework.

Now if he'd been around long enough to be associated with a gay gigolo franchise AND design and implement the Federal programs that created the housing bubble, he'd be home Scott free...

A true statesman.

Do ask Do tell indeed. The Dems getting upset over some groping - whether butter is involved or not - give me a break. You mention Barney, but don't forget Rep. Gerry Studds who bent over a 17 y.o. male piage in 1983 - and ended up serving in Congress until 1997 after the Dem. House voted to "censure" him. Then there is forgiveness for reckless homicide - Teddy, serial adultery - pick a Kennedy, piggery - Clinton. In short, unless there is something more than sex involved, such as giving your wholly unqualified butt buddy a job in NJ's Dept. of Homeland Security, Dems take a pretty permissive view of what must transpire for there to be an ethics violation. And as for the Banking Queen, here's a good picture of him with his hand's full of - if not a minor, then certainly someone not too far removed. http://digitaltechnologiesllc.net/db1/00080/digitaltechnologiesllc.net/_uimages/FAGbarneyfrank.jpg
That looks a lot like groping to me.

I note that Judge Napolitano kept a low profile during the Fox coverage of this; who's kidding who on this one?

Oh - and Glenn Beck did do his homework after all, obviously with the assistance of some heavy-duty shysters - a little late, but better late than never.

Lot of skill went into the cutting of Glen's Circus tonight - never miss it over here. Brilliant juxtaposition and illusion of the 'live' intereview. Later, the 'All Stars' wouldn't touch the Massa shtick with a bargepole - then Shep Smith put the boot in and roasted Massa. The moral of the story is: "Don't Fuck with Fox": as Obama has also learned to his cost.

Btw my American friends; if you want to know what will happen with Obamacare - go back and read the history of Nye Bevan's battle to get Marxist control established in Britain by forcing the Beveridge Plan into a deal that started Great Britain's NHS. The deal he cut with the Consultants was a beaut! They got the best of it: a regular pay cheque from the State and the use of the State facilities for their own private practice. The punters got the worst: taxed up to their asses, National Insurance extracted from paypackets, consumer prices encompassing employer's contributions and State control from the cradle to the grave; we pay in myriad ways. Welfarism is a very expensive business: not only in moolah; but in loss of freedom. Plus an underclass of idlers and malingerers that is now three generations thick. We just completed 60 years of it. Free at the point of delivery? As you know guys - that's what all the girls say!

We are truly fucked! Just reject the notion, folks. Make your own arrangements and get that commie Trojan Horse and his puppeteers out of the Oval Office wherein the levers of the Western World are pulled - FFS!.

I see dark, dark days ahead for my kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. And yours. The long darkness will soon fall on me, so it's no skin off my nose. But you young 'uns, listen up! It's not too late for you to avoid another repeat of so many precedents in history.
