Iron - Cold Iron - is master of men all.

Marching Morons Mysteriously Missing:

Millions marched in San Francisco, Rome, Barcelona and London when a US-led coalition of democracies prepared to depose a murderous tyrant -- where are they now, when a tyrant seeks to depose a democratically elected government?" -Where are they now? | Neptunus Lex

"Iron, cold iron, is (still) master of all."

First, throw Tom Friedman and his books out of the window. The world isn't flat and the olive tree always trumps the Lexis. The Pentagon needs to roll up its fashionable "New Map" that it pays all those hundreds of thousands of dollars in consulting fees for and paste back up its old map. Hard armed force exerted by lots of aircraft, artillery and Main Battle Tanks still trumps all. Hard power crushes soft power, which really isn't power at all. -Russia's Blitzkrieg Into Georgia

On Bigfoot

Yes, sightings have been reported from the lower 48, northern Mexico states, and southern Canada. Local legend speaks of a colony of the animals outside the town of Julian CA.

I've seen the pictures at cryptomundo, if it is a fake it's an expensive one. That thing is detailed.

After all the vitriol I've seen from the skeptical community, I understand the discoverers' paranoia regarding turning the specimen over to 'proper authorities'.

If it is fake, the dictionary definition for chutzpah has a new picture.

If it is real, the history of primates is going to be re-written.

Note that George --- as I like to call him --- might be a specimen from one of two or more species of large native ape.

Wait and see is my advice. It may be a brief kerfuffle, or it could change the world.

"Go With The Throw" is lovely, just lovely. Thanks for the inspiration. My backyard needs framing. I'm off to the basement to find that stack of old picture frames.

On Russia:

Kipling's World, where big nations smack around small nations, is back.

What's that? Did I hear the ghosts of Otto von Bismarck, Napoleon Bonaparte, and Arthur Wellesley chuckling?
