Ted Cruz and The Princess Bride: Who Wouldn't Want a President Who Can Do This?

You have to admit, this is pretty good.

Far too much starch in all the shirts.

I have to admit Cruz is a gifted performer.

He's been able to convince a great many of the credulous that he and his Goldman Sachs executive wife Heidi are outsiders. Cruz of course helped enable the Bush coup d'etat in 2000 and has been anything but an outsider for a good many years. Of course as with all demagogues he had a preternatural ability to lie with utter conviction. Go Ted!

Ah Boosh. You gave it away.

Well, Ted is considered an outsider by Democrat and Republican insiders, elitists, and excrementalists.

And, at the end of Dubya's second term, Ted was only three years old. Clearly, he's grown and matured tremendously in a short time.

Unless you're face down in booze, you'll join the Cruz crew's cruise. Up your sails! If you keep your mouth shut it'll be easier to fill the canvas by breaking wind in the RIGHT direction.

Even though he's been a lying assed politician for years Cruz *identifies* with being an outsider - that is, he remembers when he really was an outsider, nothing more.

Anyway, Cruz was born in Canada and there's this little thing that might be a concern:

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

I trust him. I haven't trusted a politician for dozens of years. Maybe I am foolish. I know there is not much anybody can do to save the country. Too much damage has been done. However, I don't want the left in charge of the wreckage. We need Hope to carry on.

Cruz/Carson or Carson/Cruz.

Yeah, this little thing except he was born to parents who are citizens, thus he is also. That was the thing with Obama; even if he was born in Kenya, his mom was a citizen. Oh, and John McCain was born in Panama.

It ain't an issue.

Yes of course, silly me, words don't matter any more.

Or more specifically, they mean whatever the speaker wants them to mean.
