TEAM OBAMA BOOBY POLICE™: A film that seeks to answer the question, "Why is Michelle Obama Fixated on What Goes Into Our Mouths?"

And also gets the Oscar for "Best Use of 'Comfortably Numb' in a Short Feature."

HT: Don Surber who notes:

The government should stay out of women's bras. If a woman wants to nurse, fine. If not, fine. The gut feeling is that nursing is better, but that depends on the nutrition of the mother herself. A century ago, nutrition was poorer than it is today and infant formula was an improvement upon this and also a convenience for Americans and we love convenience. Those who hector us on nursing should bear this in mind.

What Missus Obama's doing was OK until she crossed the line and began re-writing the nation's tax code to encourage this.

Again, it is none of the IRS's business whether a woman decides to use a bottle or a breast.

But it will be. We shall go from encouragement to enforcement in a few years as the government goes overboard. Someday bottle-feeding will be declared child abuse.

If Barack Obama were truly as smart as his supporters claim, would he really have married that thing?

So: what happened to "our bodies, ourselves?"

Apparently it only applies to women who want to kill their unborn baby.

In all other aspects, and not just for women, our bodily functions are to belong to the State, up to and including the manner of our death.

Heh, I just thanked you on You Tube and someone told me you linked to it. I've used Pink Floyd for all my Team Obama videos because I like the music and I'm sure it drives liberals mad.

For example: "Team Obama Food Police Video":Hysteria, Lies and Nasty Attacks on First Lady
Thanks again, Janice

Blastineau, she's a prop wife, like the prop kids and the prop dog. She hasn't tried a designer burqa yet. Can you imagine the fight Barack will have on his hands if he ever tries to go hardcore Muslim on her?

When I had my first child and the nurse came in to ask me breast or bottle, I didn't understand. I had never heard of any baby not being breastfed, never knew any woman who didn't breastfeed. I had no idea there was a choice for some women. I trusted my Mother, my Aunts, both my Grandmothers and all the other female relatives more than I trusted the ideas of some social services paid hospital flak. I figured God and nature knew better and doing what was natural made more sense, both healthwise for my newborn and financially for me.

Then I moved to Calif. and discovered none of the women I worked with had nursed their children. Why? Because they were told it would ruin their bodies. The same reason so many of them chose abortion.

I hate pacifiers, feel disgusted when I see a baby or a toddler walking around with a "binky" in their mouth. My doctor told me that all babies need to suckle and on the breast they can suckle as long as necessary, but on the bottle, when the bottle is empty that's it. For me, that was also a big reason. I'm happy to say that neither of my children ever had a pacifier, never became thumb suckers, and never needed some kind of security blanket. A child needs to be held, needs to be rocked, and there is no way to stick a kid in the crib with a bottle all alone. Yes there is some inconvenience, but the plus side far outweighs the negative, IMHO. I went back to work when my son was 5 days old and I still managed to nurse him for 8 months. And his Daddy was in Vietnam, so I had no help either. I have no sympathy for women who refuse to breastfeed or at least try.

Blastineau,

Did you ever notice how camp the One actually is? Do you actually believe he is straight? If so, your question makes sense.

Posted by: AlmostAnonymous at February 18, 2011 6:43 AM

I believe him to be a bi-sexual...if he wants sex he has to buy it.

Posted by: Blastineau at February 18, 2011 10:48 AM

Sara, while I understand your perspective, your way of thinking would have cost my baby his life. Not all breasts are created equally; mine barely eked out a mouthful, and attempts at nursing even for that little amount to supplement the formula were very upsetting for him. On formula, he is thriving. I don't leave him alone with a bottle in a crib, I cuddle him just as much as I would if he were nursing, and I always make enough so that he can drink until he is sated.

Formula saves lives, and there is more to mothering an infant than giving it a breast. The boob Nazis need to give it a rest already.

If First Lady Obama is so concerned about what goes into peoples mouths, maybe she ought to start promoting BJ's. We will then have a happier society and the pain of her husband's administration might seem less painful.

I nursed twins. Simultaneously.

Only in a crazy right winger world would having the first lady recommend a better diet be seen as fascist and threatening.

Posted by: H Britten at February 23, 2011 7:36 PM

Only in a weird leftoid planetary system would someone assume such a fatass should run her mouth at all times and in all places instead on discretely shutting the fuck up and minding her own fat business.

@ vanderleun:

Thanks for proving my point. Hurling personal insults at the First Lady for encouraging a good diet is the sign of a seriously deranged mind.

Thanks. I live in the real world, so it's fascinating to examine this strange alternate universe where facts are discarded and paranoid fantasy is the coin of the realm.
