"Is it possible to go from shooting ourselves in the foot to shooting ourselves in the roof of the mouth?"

And their answer is a resounding:

Gerard, you are such a bright man, but I suspect you know almost nothing of politics. Unless... you're in the pay of the Mormons. So many are these days.

"Gerard, you are such a bright man, but I suspect you know almost nothing of politics."

Ditto.

But, what's anyone supposed to do? The good ones were chased out with plenty of help from the MSM. (You know the ones I'm talking about.)

I remind you: ABO

Gerard? A shill for the Mormons? I thought he was a papist.

A choice, not an echo.

Well, history will tell. Won't it?

"Well, history will tell. Won't it."

Sure told us about that jackass McCain and Romney is just like him.

Posted by: mare at January 21, 2012 5:46 PM

The Grinch vote was only a thumb in Romnoid's eye because voters had nothing better to do. The man may need to try to pretend, like Newt, as though he stands for something--aside being electable, which is not going over real big. Considering the opposition, he's still very likely the nominee.

Good Lord, is Gerard being accosted by paulbots??

Posted by: Uncle Jefe at January 21, 2012 7:30 PM

He's being accosted, for sure, by a bunch of classless prepubescent mouthbreathers, I assume.

"Is it possible to go from shooting ourselves in the foot to shooting ourselves in the roof of the mouth?"

I prefer to think of it as getting newt-ered, but your slogan is much more clever so, I'll go with it. LOL.

That first bumper sticker is hilarious.

Not to get anyones knickers in a knot but there is this coming out of Florida. Could we see a Newt/West ticket??

Posted by: Guy S at January 21, 2012 8:57 PM

I don't wish to be prepubescent, but I would like to shave twenty years off. Wilson, you're usually a pretty smart fellow too. What are you doing clinging to the born on third base mediocrity that is Willard Romney? BTW, stick a fork in him. He'll never make it out of the South. Watch Newt's numbers explode in Florida. So, he's serially married some funky women. In the words of Homer Simpson, "WOOHOO! Who hasn't?"

Posted by: Casca at January 22, 2012 12:21 AM

Gently, folks. Poet-priests have their respected place in the mix.

Besides, Mr. G PAID for this microphone!

"He's being accosted, for sure, by a bunch of classless prepubescent mouthbreathers, I assume."

Where is he being accosted? Why the name calling? No Paulbot here, I think he's an insane old man and so are his minions.

In '08 I bet money that even my pet monkey could beat Obama. I had faith in the GOP machine exposing him for who and what he was. I lost. So today I'd bet money that even Newt/Ron could beat Obama in '12. And as far as going nuts, why the hell not? After 4 years of Obama's rape and pillage it's going to take two mean spirited, vindictive, power hungry maniacs to get some measure of revenge. Newt and Ron are just the guys to do it.

Posted by: I-RIGHT-I at January 22, 2012 8:52 AM

It's not about revenge. It's about denying power to Obama and his ilk. It's about obtaining power. Revenge's got nothing to do with it.

Casca observes, "In the words of Homer Simpson, "WOOHOO! Who hasn't?"

Well, that's a point. I'll grant you that.

Posted by: vanderleun at January 22, 2012 10:00 AM

I agree with Gerard. I've written as much for years, that the GOP is a feckless entity that can't find its ass with its hands.

I had hope of someone more like Thad McCotter but the man's mind is just too indominable for practical politics.

I'd complain that Newt is a tired old white man and that he's unelectable because of the youth vote. However, the illusory youth vote will not outweigh the Fed Up Old Fart vote. And it's the early 40's and late 30's voters that will bring the swing count, and those voters are reeling from the reality of their choices as they find themselves in retail jobs at minimum wage.

If anyone is supporting a tired old white guy, it's the youth vote running after Ron Paul.

Anyone know the minority youth vote statistics?

Yes Joan, it's statistically zero.
