If the battlefield ever comes to our homes and our neighborhoods, we are going to need women like her ready for combat.

I want her on my team when the s#;+ comes down.

She is another reason why the liberals will lose in the end.

They don't have anyone like her.

It is a charity event that supports families of fallen soldiers.

The first weapon she deployed was certainly fully-automatic, i.e, a real actual completely illegal "machine gun" (looked like maybe a H&K 9mm). How ever is that kosher?

Posted by: Hanoi Paris Hilton at February 1, 2013 8:41 PM

Hmmm, on second look, the magazine appears to be for .223/5.56mm. But still it's fully auto "assault weapon" by any definition (not sure if 9mm or .45 ACP submachine guns could be properly so defined).

That's a cheap shot, Bill. Soldiers (and Marines, airmen, and sailors) enlist in the military, and are then obliged by law to go where the political leaders (and I use that term loosely) send them. Not one member or former member of the military that I know (and that's a lot of people, since I had over 26 years of service myself, between Active Duty and Reserves) ever thought of himself as being in service to a bank, oil company, or arms manufacturer. We take the oath freely to defend the country, but once we're in, we don't get to pick and choose where and when we're deployed, or for what purpose. You think the military should stay home and defend the country from within our own borders? Fine, elect politicians that will do that. But don't blame the military for following the lawful orders of its civilian superiors.

I'm with waltj. It's not the soldiers' fault (using the term "soldier" loosely) that their civilian highest command is bought and paid for. Although that isn't quite as clear a proposition for the very highest ranks of the military, they who have an influence on policy.

One kid like her could stop school shootings, movie theater shootings, mall shootings,Giffords shootings, ect. trained in guns and gun safety, professional expert.

That's a daughter a daddy could be proud of.

Gosh Bill, I bet you're gangs of fun at a party. Have a lot of friends, do ya?

Posted by: Dave at February 2, 2013 6:20 AM

I'm wondering. How could you have missed the point of this video? People seriously train and attain proficiency with firearms and enjoy it. Enjoy! Recreational shooting is not political, it is fun....

WOW!
That is all.

They've always got Sandra Fluke.

They've always got Sandra Fluke.

They can have Bill Jones too.

@ Bill Jones> "What's this "Fallen Brethren" shit?" Answer: Join the Army or Marine Corps and find out, Mr. Bill Jones or whatever your name is. I found out what fallen brethen ment in the early sixties in a war run by leftist democrats. Imagine this Bill; your buddies entrals blown out and scattered forty feet in front of him and he asking the medic if he will be ok. Enjoy your day Bill.

@H.Paris Hilton: Re NFA Class III weapons...
In a few states, private citizens may legally own fully-automatic submachine guns if they can
pass a thorough federal agency background check and are prepared to pay a (significant) fee.

Sure Terry. Imagine this; a situation such as you describe and him asking the medic WTF he's doing there in the first place.

Posted by: Fletcher Christian at February 2, 2013 3:28 PM

Damn Terry, I didn't need that image brought back to mind.

Posted by: Vermont Woodchuck at February 2, 2013 4:53 PM

Thanks, Dansk, for your input. I was aware of that provision in the Federal firearms laws, but if I'm not mistaken, it cannot be extended to any automatic weapons manufactured after the mid-1980s. Whatever that firearm was that she was blasting away on, looked more state-of-the-art than something 30 years old.
