Is it about Petraeus?

The odds are too great, for there not to be at least one vengeful mole.

Hell no! It is about Obama’s 2nd term.* It will be quite the ride with Obama being the goat as the American Greater Depression unfolds. As the world economy collapses dragging in the USA which craters and war and rumors of war become regnant all Hell Breaks Loose.

Oh joy.

Just what we need: glorification of D.C.'s bottomless bucket of slime - guaranteed to ALSO promote the fantasy that these douche bags are 'interesting' people. And the one "good guy" is ... media?? Oh - so it's a COMEDY!

Looks like it'll be one step below Lilyhammer (ugh... spit... p'tooey).

Why does every "serious" actor or actress feel the need to do a bad southern accent?

Posted by: Mumblix Grumph at November 18, 2012 3:38 PM

Looks like a remake of the magnificent BBC series of the same name, starring Ian Richardson. The little soliloquies to the camera...
Would one new idea be too much to ask for?

Yes.

For the same reason they feel a need to do a bad British one.

No worse, I imagine, than the ABC show Scandal which is all about enabling corrupt politicians so they can keep their grip on power.

Appears to be you are correct. While the BBC show may have been "magnificent," Richardson's character creates a right-wing regime (Boo! Hiss!). I wonder if "House of Cards" will do the same?
