Sentence of the Year.... So Far

The Coffee-Colored Compromise: Employee Blend

Why life in the post-totalitarian system is so thoroughly permeated with hypocrisy and lies: government by bureaucracy is called popular government; the working class is enslaved in the name of the working class; the complete degradation of the individual is presented as his ultimate liberation; depriving people of information is called making it available; the use of power to manipulate is called the public control of power, and the arbitrary abuse of power is called observing the legal code; the repression of culture is called its development; the expansion of imperial influence is presented as support for the oppressed; the lack of free expression becomes the highest form of freedom; farcical elections become the highest form of democracy; banning independent thought becomes the most scientific of world views; military occupation becomes fraternal assistance. I thank God daily that I do not participate in the physical workplace of today's America. I just barely got away by the skin of my teeth after the Millennium turned.

It is a hell unimagined by my grandfather and I think only hinted at in my father's day. They would both turn over in their graves to see what we are today.

Yeah Casey, I got out four years ago, seemed like I'd never make it before some sort of heavy iron grates slammed shut in front of me.

BTW that blend picture is incomplete. There are no fat people or old ones or ugly ones.
Flagrant use of euphemisms doesn't make the truth any easier to accept.

Maybe the author is some sort of —ist: Fatist, old-ageist. He should have used Barbie dolls.

Maybe that's why we need Bernie now more than ever: age is the next frontier of diversity.

Nah. Strike that. Libs want stainless steel and odorless comity. Nothing that smacks of individuality; besides, the old men have the power. Rage against that, too. Now Bernie is out.

They want Hillary...it must be hell in their minds. So frig gin confusing.

I only associate with work entities via pixels and have been self employed since 1986.

To go *somewhere* chosen by someone else and do *something* chosen by someone else for an amount of consideration chosen by someone else is insanity, as evidenced by what you see everywhere now.

For most people, it seems, someone else makes all of the major decisions.

Is it any wonder that no one knows what to do and everybody looks to others for direction?

@Chas, there's a reason there are no fats, olds, uglies in that picture. They don't conform.

Only fully moldable minds need apply, and only for the predesignated proper time period.

There is no place here for *individuals*.

And when BigCo. 'empowers its customers' it is just offloading work that should have been done by BigCo's employees, had they not been cashiered in favor of 3rd world built 'apps', 'webforms', 'self serve kiosks' ad infinitum.
