Of Bright Blue and 13ft Earthworms

GiantBlueEarthworm.jpg
A baby. Can be as long as 5 feet.

Where else but at Zooillogix can you get the scoop on things such as the Australian Giant Blue Earthworms and Friends? Detail: "It is reputed that when in close proximity to these animals, one can detect faint gurgling noises as they move through their burrows."

Yes, there's a picture of the large, VERY large, worms. Go ahead. Click the link. You never outgrow your need to be freaked out.

Holy Cow! Think how big the hook has to be. Just what do you fish for with a worm that big? Great White Crappie?

I think I just detected a faint (and unpleasant) gurgling noise at the mere thought of hearing these things move through their burrows.

I lived in Oz almost 4 years, and thankfully, I never saw one of these things. Plenty of snakes (all poisonous) on golf courses and lots of spiders
around the house (some poisonous, like Redbacks, the Aussie Black Widow, and some just fearsome-looking like the Huntsman). I also hit an
echidna once with my car and completely ruined a brand-new tire, but never knew about giant earthworms until now. That biolumenescence thing is freaky.

Where can I get me some? I'd love to try these things to catch me some real man's bait!
