Wow.

In their own minds, the air force are God's ultimate gift to warfare. This neato tactic will work exactly once, then the tankers will lead with infantry and by artillery reconnaissance by fire.

Don Rumsfeld and W. were aviators.

"This neato tactic will work exactly once, then the tankers will lead with infantry and by artillery reconnaissance by fire."

Quite possible, Casey Klahn. But the Israelis have prepared for that. Have you seen what a barrage of molten bagels and armor piercing gefilte fish can do?

I thought not.

".... seen what a barrage of molten bagels and armor piercing gefilte fish can do?"

It's not pretty. Especially the day after.

OH, pullin the kosher jokes on me, eh? Wise guy.

Those tanks can be loaded with shotshells, 2" dia.
1 shot, fired low to the ground, and $100 billion worth of stolen money toys will be gone. 10% of the gadgets will be self destroyed when they hit the ground. And then there's the natural gov't incompetence to consider. They spend more to do less. Casey is right, it *may* work once, but at what cost?

Money given to Israel 'stolen'

I do not begrudge money given to Israel to hold and secure land given her at the same time other nations like Pakistan were carved out after WWI and WWII by the League of Nations, etc., but do resent to h3ll and back money any given to Islamic h3ll-holes (that turn on us and sponsor terror, torture, slavery, drug/human/p0rn trafficking, and to corrupt South American and African dictators.

Come on. Israel has as much right to exist as Pakistan. Israel was originally granted by international agreement the land that encompasses Israel, Gaza, West Bank and Jordan, but gave up 70% to try to make peace with the Arabs. We all know how that turned out.

The guy walking out on to the door made me noivous. After seeing Boston Dynamics Big Dog I'm ready for quaaludes and diapers. These things are not good things.

Suppose, the 3rd iteration of the concept fires over-the horizon guided missiles detecting metal mass at rest and in motion. The tanks never see, from above, the firing platform due to electronic interference from devices scattered all over the field.
The missile platform is oriented at the center of mass of the opponent vehicles, and missiles sweep 270 degrees + if needed.
The Israelis are now fine tuning their 7th version of the concept, which includes now variants for destruction of underwater opponent vehicles and 'frogmen'.

Then the tanks will have those 30k rd per min gattling guns on the turret that will blow the missles in mid air.

That same gun will blow the devices as they descend on the parachutes. Freefalling in the air is not the safest place to be.

Back and forth it goes.
