Posted by gerardvanderleun at March 9, 2012 8:38 PMAhh, the iconic Pete 379. For other truck drivers this is like the 1970s Caddy El Dorado, back in the day. Big, flashy, and the ergonomics of an East-German washing machine. They will last forever.
You pay more for a Peterbilt, they last longer, but they are the last maker to update the interior features. For comfort, and it's being driven 8-14 hours per day, 300 plus days a year, ride comfort is my primary consideration. You can't beat a Volvo for "living" in the truck. But you can't beat a Pete for making money while going a million miles before overhaul.
