Military officials also set a timeline, vowing to rule Egypt for six months or until elections are held. Meanwhile, the army clears Tahrir Square, ousting remaining protesters. -- latimes.com
"A demonsrator places his hands on his head as soldiers line up in central Tahrir Square in Cairo, on February 13, 2011, two days after the ouster of long term President Hosni Mubarak."
Tick... tick... tick... tick....
Posted by Vanderleun at February 13, 2011 5:45 PMAnd anyone expected anything different?
BTW...wasn't Mubarak (former head of the Air Force, IIRC) vice-president to Sadat (former head of the Army, IIRC)?
We just need would be an Admiral and all would be done.
Those of us who were expecting the army to step in and cut out both the liberal reformers and the MB are left saying 'Yep'.

The Army will squish the drama-bound, the Intelligence will deal with those who would prefer not to be photographed.

Posted by: Fat Man at February 13, 2011 6:44 PMThey can get an Admiral from the Swiss, as if they need one.

Ah, Democracy!
I think they should bring back the Pharaohs, complete with the part where they have to marry their sisters. They can start the new line of succession with transplants from Arkansas.
