"Find a Need and Fill It"

ghettolife.jpg

From "drive-by" to "drive-through." The phrase "located in Compton" is, shall we say, a dead giveaway: Inside LA's drive-thru (and bulletproof) funeral home

"The mortuary, located in Compton, claims to offer an efficient way for prominent members of the community to be viewed en masse. Elderly who have a hard time walking don't have to leave their cars. One possible reason for the drive-thru's success could stem back to the 1980s, when Compton was a hotbed for gang violence. The LA Times reported that cemetery shootouts made gang members reluctant to gather for graveside services. And since the glass partition of the Robert L. Adam's funeral parlor is bulletproof, it became a popular location for gang funerals."

But Chicago had one first: Gatling's Funeral Home on the city's South Side, 1989.

Another first for my home town also corruption, violence, and the fool president...

The woman in the picture is wearing a bandana. At a viewing at a funeral home. Which is only safe to do, it looks like, if one attends the viewing behind bulletproof glass.

She's probably a gang member. Bandanas are what the stupid murderous gangbangers fondly imagine to be the equivalent of "Winter Service Dress", no? Or do I have it wrong?

The crip-in-a-box is being buried in his gang banger blue as well.

Shouldn't it be "Straight Outta Compton"? Which, by the way, the "lyrics" of are extremely enlightening about our current situation, given that one of the "singers" now stars in children's movies.

Does anybody read anymore? Look I get that people are sick of Obama and it's hate black people season but the 58 year old man in the casket is not a gang member. He's a postal worker who passed away. The woman in the photo is not a gang member. She's his co-worker who stopped by the visit. I know much of black life is disgusting. Having lived in inner city DC I've seen some stuff but damnit...don't be so quick to make stupid comments without even bothering to see if you're right. It just makes you look as dumb as the people you mock.
