Relentlessly charming:
An entertaining and cheeky music video for “70 Million”, hit song by Franco-American band, Hold Your Horses!, offers a wink at art history as band members playfully reconstruct famous paintings in an off the wall lyrical interpretation all their own. -- 70 Million by Hold Your Horses ! on Vimeo
Precursor: The same sort of approach was taken, in still photography, by Ethan Russell for Boz Scaggs' My Time album back in 1972.

Posted by: pdwalker at March 3, 2010 5:11 PMEthan Russell shot one of my favorite album covers. The one for Linda Ronstadt's Hasten Down The Wind.
I know he sells a signed print of the shot, but I'm afraid it's a bit out of my cheapskate price range. I've scoured eBay for any other pictures from that photoshoot and I've actually found a few.
Just one of those teenage things I haven't quite outgrown yet...much like my eternal crush on Stevie Nicks...SIGH.
