You Don't Have to Be Jewish...

Allison @ Israel's An Unsealed Room picks up on a new turn of the old screw, "Hey, kids, let's Boycott Israel!:"

Like the Anti-Semitic Virus from which this springs, boycotting Israel is a notion that never really dies off. Somewhere, everyday, some group of Jew haters decides that the best thing they can do for world peace and their own disease is to convince people to stop buying Israeli products and replace those items with, well, what? Iranian pistachios?

Here at American Digest, we have a counter-suggestion. That everyone who doesn't feel as if the mere existence of Israel is a threat to their hopes of Global sharia start sporting this bumper strip:

You'll notice that this bumper sticker is a "two-fer" in terms of its symbolism and lets you promote Israel and the United States at the same time.

Here's a high resolution 2.1 Megabyte PDF of the "You Don't Have to Be Jewish to Buy Israel" bumper strip suitable for downloading and printing: Download file

My wife and I alternate between amused and amazed that a trip to the grocery store has become a political act. First it was Danish beer and cheese, and now this : http://www.finefoodsisrael.com/

Henceforth I shall refer to myself as a Counterrevolutionary Infidel Gourmet.

Mr. Vanderleun:

I do not (at least right now) have enough writer's power to write the following essay, but the title and theme of the essay would portray the Isrealis as the "canary in the mineshaft." As they go, so we go.

I would like see you take a stab at this theme.

If only Israel were a major source of cat food, cat treats, or catnip.... I'd be delighted to buy all my kitty stuff from Israeli companies. I'll do what I can about other items, though.

Wonderful bumper sticker!

Wonderful bumper sticker. And, when I get a car, this will be thereon.

If Israel made a beer I would buy it. A real He-Brew!

Can you provide some links towards vendors selling Israeli products to consumers? Unfortunately, the market for judaica is pretty small, and I don't think that Teva Pharmaceuticals sells direct to consumers.

While I agree with the sentiment to support our friends by buying their goods, I don't REALLY need anything except more Havarti and Carlsberg.

Maybe David can spot something that interests him at:
