Posted by: Dennis at March 10, 2009 9:00 AMMindblowing, I suppose, yet the point about the number of words in the English language between now and Shakespeare's time begs the observation that, even though he had "less" to work with, he still had a greater command of the English language and how to timelessly communicate through that medium than most of those millions (or is it billions now?) of people who speak and think in it today.
Quantity ≠ quality, no matter how big it gets.
