Roger Simon Gets Stoned

I am hereby calling for a web-wide [non-denominational, gnostic or ag] prayer circle for Roger Simon without regard to race, color, creed or URL origin.

On the advice of my doctor, I headed over to Cedars-Sinai Emergency, trying to tell myself I wasn't having a heart attack. I wasn't.

I had gallstones. I am now sitting in the hospital, waiting to have my gall bladder taken out -- a relatively routine operation. See y'all next week, when I'll do some stoneblogging, hopefully with jokes.

Or, as we learn from the Supreme Being in Time Bandits: "Dead? No excuse for laying off work. "

Dang - I'm jealous -- been trying to get mine out for months now, no stones, just not working and in a lot of pain.

BUT - a gall bladder attack does make believe you're having a heart attack. I've had 3 major ones now.

He'll be fine :) Prayers upward anyway.

Yeah, prayer said here too. It's an easy op. Piece of cake. I've had worse. He'll be fine.

I can remember a crazy night on the Lower East Side at a bar called A1 where a couple buds and I were playing pool. One of the guys goes into the bathroom and then over the jukebox and noise of the joint lets loose this bloodcurdling scream. Then he ambles out of the head saying, I'm OK, just pissed out a rock.

OUCH!

WITH regard to race, creed, etc???

Did you mean WITHOUT regard to...?

Hope you're feeling better soon. New-agey white light healing energy rays zooming out of the top of my head in your general direction.

If they work, cool. If not, well, at least I'll feel better.

Cheers!

Oops, fixed. These damn braille keyboards!

Jesusland-type prayers from a Blue State location-- hope Roger will feel better ASAP. Gallstone attacks are a bummer-- have several relatives who've had them.
