UPDATE: Tumblr shuts Happy Acres down.

Yesterday: "Suddenly one of my favorite tumblers, Happy Acres, appears to have vanished. If anybody (Dave? Dave?) knows what's happened I'd be pleased to find out here or via email. Thanks."

Today, Leslie forwards this from Twitter.

This while hundreds of thousands of the worst sorts of raw porn Tumblrs grind on and on and on with no let up.

Just noticed this myself and am very concerned the site me a casulaty in the war on fake news. Really hope someone can come along and let us know what happened. One of my favorites that I read every day.

Oh, my. I love Happy Acres.

Dave posted he was starting up a new blog couple days ago.

Posted by: mtnforge at December 20, 2016 5:12 PM

Nearing the end of my day, and the three sites I check are Maggie's Farm, American Digest, and Happy Acres. It'll ruin my day to not read the point of view out of El Dorado County, CA. Happy Acres, Where Art Thou?

Posted by: H2C at December 20, 2016 5:59 PM

Dave isn't here man.

Posted by: ghostsniper at December 20, 2016 6:07 PM

happyacreshall is not our guy. Hes in Maine, our guy is in California

Posted by: bgarrett at December 20, 2016 6:45 PM

His other blog is gone also

Posted by: bobbookworm at December 20, 2016 9:40 PM

Wouldn't surprise me if some fink complained about the content and got it taken down.

Posted by: Monty James at December 21, 2016 12:57 AM

Oh no! Happy Acres is gone! I come here all the time too. Hoping someone would know what happened??

Posted by: EEJ at December 21, 2016 6:04 AM

He said he was going to start a new blog, right? "White Man's Burden", or something to that effect.

Miss him too - one of my faves.

Posted by: pandelume at December 21, 2016 6:08 AM

He was banished from tumblr. It just slays me that with all the filth that fills tumblr, they ban him for speaking truthfully. Typical.

Posted by: Leslie at December 21, 2016 7:30 AM

Just checking in on Happy Acres also. American Digest and HA are my go-to spots.

Posted by: Jeff at December 21, 2016 8:42 AM

"He was banished from tumblr." Was he? If so, it was we we who were banished from tumblr.

Posted by: james wilson at December 21, 2016 9:06 AM

Sadly predictable. You can always counter lies with truth. But the only way for the left to fight truth is through violence, repression, intimidation, and banishment.

Posted by: Gagdad Bob at December 21, 2016 9:07 AM

He was sent a form letter telling him his Tumblr was terminated because he violated their terms and conditions with his posts. No warning.

And so it begins...

Posted by: tim at December 21, 2016 11:16 AM

Maybe Gab.ai.
It's a new twitter-like forum that promises no censorship. Vox Day is part of the project. Let us know when you find a new site. If you blog it we will come.

There probably never will be a blog platform or social media host you can trust. Get used to that.

Posted by: Casey Klahn at December 21, 2016 11:46 AM

A fave site of mine, always a good daily read, and trashed by the idiots who run tumblr. I anticipate he will be back, and hopefully back to stay to help spread a little light, truth and fun along the way.

Posted by: Watcher at December 21, 2016 11:56 AM

I went with Blue Host, as people reported that they are conservatives. Haven't had any problems with them, but I have pretty non-controversial blogs.

Posted by: Teri Pittman at December 21, 2016 12:03 PM

I have no doubt HappyAcres will be back and with more followers than ever. Banning is the best indicator for real value.

I'd make the Tumblr email image the masthead on the new site.... Wear it proudly! Remember Trump's deplorables?

Posted by: rkeva at December 21, 2016 12:58 PM

Thank you for the update and please let us know where he goes. I will follow

Posted by: bgarrettr at December 21, 2016 1:06 PM

Damn thought police. First they try to shut down The Peoples Cube with an arrest and now Happy Acres. Thanks a lot Abe Lincoln.

Happy is on Gab here:

He doesn't seem to be on much though. I hope he increases his postings there!

Posted by: Aldo Cella at December 21, 2016 4:44 PM

Well lets all stick together and when Dave gets back up, make sure his new blog has viral attention from day one.
Great American that David, and really sweet guy.

Posted by: mtnforge at December 21, 2016 5:48 PM

Noticed today as well Happy Acres was a no go. Glad to see somebody passing on the info of the whereabouts. Thanks MTNForge!!!

Posted by: TomB at December 21, 2016 8:15 PM

Oops! My tumblr is gone, too. Two can play at that game.

Posted by: DrTedNelson at December 21, 2016 10:24 PM

Have anybody here seen this?
If it’s provenance is valid, sending Dave's Happy Acres down the rabbit hole, is deeper than most of us can imagine.

I would not be surprised to learn that the Trump/Putin hysteria has much to do with the Giuliani image above---replacing one crisis with another. Anyone else remember the Drudge blurb immediately before the election--it was on the left-hand side of the page, I think---to the effect that either the DNC or Clinton campaign was saying that an imminent Wikileaks revelation was NOT TO BE BELIEVED? The blurb disappeared by the end of the day.

Come to think of it, this whole 'fake news' thing may be the result of the pedophile ring revelation.

Posted by: ahem at December 22, 2016 9:42 AM

SJWs ruin everything.

The America I remember, and grew up in, allowed differences of opinion. We need to get back to that.

Posted by: Jeff Brokaw at December 22, 2016 10:53 AM

Folks, this is just the beginning of the lefty powers that be monitoring so-called "fake news" sites and deleting language that they feel is somehow injurious to their simple minds and sensitive feelings. Prepare yourselves for the onslaught of other favored websites and blogs disappearing....until we can grab control of these morons, by the nape of the neck preferably, and shake them until their teeth rattle. We should also be forming our own internet means of communication. One such outlet, which is sort of like Twitter but without the twits, is GAB. I hope Trump gets someone into the FCC who will make the internet safe for the Republic again.

I too love that site and visit it every day- until it suddenly vanished without trace.

If there's any information on where it is now, I'd love to know, please inform me too!

Posted by: Eskyman at December 22, 2016 2:31 PM

Late to the party, just found HappyAcres a few weeks ago while I was looking thru the woodpile. Great blog, had become my favorite.

Posted by: benji40 at December 22, 2016 5:44 PM

Thanks, Gerard, for letting us know. Just another abrogation of the First Amendment. Yeah, I know, "providers" are not held to the same standards as the government. F**k them! It does seem to me that many of the blog "vehicles" are subscribers to the communist philosophy. (No other way to explain it.) Please keep us informed about his (i.e., "Happy Acres") future blog plans. In the meantime, check out http://www.thedailygouge.com/ (I have no connection/investment to/in his blog—written by a former F-14 driver—but it's GREAT!!!) This is the best Merry Christmas in 8 years. And a Merry Christmas to you and all American Digest readers! cheerio, chuck
