Steve Wynn Doubles Down on China

"To compare political stability in China to Washington is like comparing Mount Everest to an ant hill.... Everything is cuckoo and God knows what's next."

This confirms that big businessmen are NOT friends of liberty. All they care about is a stable, predictable business environment.

in light of the political and regulatory decisions that have pushed manufacturing, customer service and tech support, and are now going after healthcare, tourism, gaming, and anywhere else they can steal some cash, can you blame a guy who earned the ability to make that choice if he decided to pursue greener pastures in a Communist country?

More to the point, do you understand that Obama-Pelosi-Reid have actually made communism more attractive to a capitalist than the Alinskyite nation they are trying to build?

Wynn's understanding of China's future is not equal to his understanding of the American government's war against business.

All I can say after viewing this clip is "WOW!"

Steve Wynn has more experience in business than any politician, anywhere.

I wonder...why this is the first public statement from him that I have seen, after all my years on the internet?

He would certainly make a better president than the current offal residing in our White House.

RPFreeSpeech,

Elaine Wynn is an Obamaworshiper and held fundraisers for him. She got her payoff when Obama appointed her to the Board of Trustees of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Steve and Elaine filed for divorce in 2009. Of course it was because of "another woman" but I wonder if a good part of it was because of Elaine's worshipful support of the The Won.

butch,

What fools like you have failed to understand is that throughout history financial freedom goes hand in hand with all the other freedoms that we hold dear. Well, I hold them dear-you, on the other hand prefer the failed dogmas of Marxism and Fascism. The problem with that for you is that you will realize this simple truth way too late if ever.

You may have misinterpreted butch's remark, although I would have stated, "This confirms that big businessmen may NOT always be friends of liberty."

Even so, he does have at least part of a point. In the political equivalent of a temperature inversion, much of big business these days seems perfectly willing to play footsie with Alinskyites, as long as there's something (big and renumerative) in it for them. Can you say "GE'" or "BP?" Or even "Big Pharma" for that matter?

What was Lenin's line? "The Capitalist will sell you the rope you are going to hang him with?"

He also said that "Democracy (as opposed to say a Constitutional Republic) is indispensable to socialism" and "Fascism is capitalism in decay".

True to form, 0bama's vanguard party is of course busily mainstreaming fascism and hollowing out the foundations of a Republic.
