GOP's Brown wins Mass. Senate seat in epic upset

By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April's breeze unfurled;
Here once the embattled farmers stood;
And fired the shot heard round the world.

There may be hope for the Republic yet.

Time to dig out Abba and "Waterloo" again. Front it with vids of Obama embarassing himself, especially with Coakley in Boston last weekend.

God Bless You, Senator Brown!

I second the Fat Man and am cheering here, too.

I believe it has come down to the point that the President is running for Marxism, that the Democrats are running against the Republicans, the Republicans are running to get elected, and that the People have had just about enough of the lot of them.

Good job Massachusetts!

If Scott Brown can win in Massachusetts, surely we can find a replacement for Patty Murray here in the People's Republic of Puget Sound.

We DID IT!!! I'm now proud to live in Massachusetts and proud of the job we just accomplished and proud of Scott Brown!!
Hallelujah!

One battle does not win a war. The enemy is already inside the wire. If we are to save the republic, we must use this as a sounding board for November. Do not let up. Now is the time to speak up and spread the word. Support cantidates who will work for smaller government.Write letters to newspaper editors, make phone calls, talk to your neighbors and coworkers,attend rallys, give money if you can. It may well be the last chance to save the republic. We can not afford for one second to rest on our laurels. God bless America and the voters of Massachusetts.

...and not only Patty Murray but maybe even Norm Dicks.

Barack Obama's former US Senate seat is up this November, held right now by the excreable Roland Burris (D-IL), who was appointed by the equally excreable former Gov. Rod Blago (D-IL). It will be sweet indeed if that seat can swing to the "R" side of the aisle.
