Are We Better Off Today Than We Were One Year Ago?

missmeyetbushaa22.jpg
A question that will grow more poignant with every passing disaster.

"A year ago President George W. Bush left the White House. Since that time the unemployment has nearly doubled, the national deficit has tripled, government has grown in leaps and bounds, and the current president has blamed his predecessor for every problem he has encountered. President Obama even blamed George Bush for the Coakley loss yesterday in Massachusetts." -- Gateway Pundit

Abraham Lincoln? "He freed the slaves." Ronald Reagan? "He won the Cold War." George Bush? "He kept America safe." Barack Obama? To date.... "Putz."

Yes, but don't forget: Jimmy Carter? "He gave us Reagan." Barack Obama? "He gave us _______!!!"

And just two minutes ago I heard on the local NBC affiliate's late newscast that (I am not making this up) during Obama's first year in office, the White House has declined in value from $308 million to $292 million.

Really.

Barack Obama - making our national monuments worth less than ever!

I do not agree with his methods, but if years from now we can look back and say that this President finally pissed off the citizenry enough that they got off their fat behinds and took their government back from the politicians and the special interests, then I might rank him among the most important Presidents. Otherwise...to the dung heap.

The US is much better off this year than when Mr. Obama took the oath of office last year. We are now 25% through his term, only three years to go.

I hope we can last that long.

Well, according to Obama himself the evil Bush thwarted the Obama agenda. That´s a considerable legacy! Though one might say that "He kept America safe" already covers that.

George Bush kept us safe as long as you didn't work in Lower Manhattan.
