Prescription drug benefits are pretty obviously at the top of his list of "good things are coming," but he notably omits the "better baby food spoon fed to you" and the "smothered with a pillow" benefits.
Posted by Vanderleun at July 30, 2010 10:08 AMI guess Barney probably was the brains behind the organization.
This is truly a disappointment almost like finding out Rock Hudson was gay.
"Try it, I think you'll like it" ? proves he doesn't even know that for many it won't or isn't an option. Only rich people, like him will have a health care choice after Obamacare.
How ironic that the lead from the classic movie A Face in the Crowd -- about a political and social charlatan -- should pimp for the genuine article who occupies the White House.
Posted by: Don Rodrigo at July 30, 2010 2:10 PMOh well, more information TV style. But if you want to feel good about Andy Griffin, watch the old black and white movie: A face in the crowd. Griffin plays a Will Rogers type of character. Its fantastic. You may not know it from his TV work, but Andy Griffin is a big talent
Posted by: bootsie at July 30, 2010 2:12 PMGawd, poor Andy. He looks so damned old - and too feeble to waste all that effort polishing a turd.
Posted by: Cynyr at July 30, 2010 3:22 PMAndy Griffiths reloaded
That isn't Andy Griffith. That's "Lonesome" Rhodes gotten old.
Posted by: at July 30, 2010 9:28 PMHe is an actor, and a good one. How else could Matlock play Andy Taylor?
Posted by: Stephen B at July 30, 2010 10:10 PMAndy Griffith - never found him to be particularly talented nor intelligent.

What it was, was Obamacare.
Posted by: Blastineau at August 2, 2010 8:24 AMThis shouldn't come as a surprise. He's been a lib for a long time, just not publicly. Just like the rest of the Hollywood set. He came out with a video in 2008 with Opie to discuss how wonderful Obama is and why Republicans are bad. Can't watch anything with him in it now. He turns my stomach.
Posted by: Ferd at August 2, 2010 9:42 AMAndy Griffith is Jimmy Carter with a slightly better sense of humor.
