Many actors and producers have talked about adapting Ayn Rand's classic Atlas Shrugged for the big screen, but 53 years after its publication no one has dared tackle the ambitious project—until now.

Reason.tv heads to the set of Atlas Shrugged Part One to offer viewers a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse of this most anticipated film.

I swear I checked IMDb on this just a few scant months (weeks?) ago. Next thing I know the (first) film is fully cast and it's well into production. Also, looks like mostly (all?) TV actors. Interesting... just hope it isn't destined to go directly to video or, worse, Lifetime.

I'm going to give them a lot of leeway in what they produce, since there's a HUGE difference in what's required in making a movie watchable vs. a book readable.

As long as they're true to the theme of the book and the integrity of the characters, I'm more than happy to let a LOT slide on the plot & dialogue.
