Well, There Goes the Tundrahood

"A closely divided Senate voted Wednesday to approve oil drilling in an Alaska wildlife refuge, a major victory for President Bush (search) and a stinging defeat for environmentalists who have fought the idea for decades." -- FOXNews

The outraged Caribou were sort of wondering why we hadn't set up more warm oil pipelines so they could multiply and be fruitful.

Not to mention the 45 other species of wildlife soon to be rendered extinct by the evil Bushmen.

This morning's radio "news" let us know not to despair because environmental groups are continuing to fight this effort to destroy all that's good and holy in the universe and that it is highly unlikely that there will ever be any drilling in ANWR and if drilling does occur, the ANWR reserves will barely cover us for one year and it won't help oil prices now because it'll be ten years before any oil starts flowing anyway ... and so the MSM trumps the duly elected senate of the United States of America.

In a related spin, the same radio "news" let us know breathlessly that Bush snubbed Gerry Adams, head of the political arm of the IRA and instead welcomed to the White House the sisters and fiancé of a man murdered, they claim, by the IRA even though no connection has been proved.

No mention of the fact that the American arm of the IRA, Teddy Kennedy, one of whose nieces was married into the IRA, also snubbed Adams or that the male Clinton was pictured embracing said man of peace, Gerry Adams, no doubt to facilitate having the envelope with his cut slipped into his pocket.
