The 100 Greatest Movie Insults of All Time -or- How to Talk to a "Progressive" If You Really Must

File under: "Some people have a way with words, and some people have not a way."

Including, but not limited to:

I can see you in the kitchen right now, bending over a hot stove. But I can't see the stove.

Yes, it's true. This man has no dick.

People who talk in metaphors oughta shampoo my crotch

To call you 'stupid' would be an insult to stupid people.

Your mother was a hamster and your mother smelt of elderberries.

I'd put up a "Strong Language" advisory, but you know that going in, right? Right.

Dangit, they left out my favorite!

From Greased Lighting: (In a deep southern drawl)

"Boss...If I took your brains, and shoved it in a gnats ass...it would look like a BB in a boxcar."

I do not remember the movie but I remember the insult.

A man called the hero a "bastard". The hero replied, "In my case, an accident at birth, but in your case, you're a self-made man."

The biggest insult in a movie scene that I can recall involved no words. It was that scene in "Saving Private Ryan", where a German soldier and an American soldier are down to a hand-to-hand struggle with a bayonet in an upper room of a tower, while a second, cowardly American soldier (armed no less), waits outside, afraid to go in. The German prevails and exits the room and, seeing the second American sitting on the floor, weeping uncontrollably, does not even bother to kill him. He simply walks on by and leaves, ignoring the second American as being insignificant, inconsequential.
