Why Al Qaeda Fears the "Genius of the TSA"

Oh yes, the dreaded and vicious and cunning and ever vile TSA! Fighting terrorism with their fat asses.

Catching a Flight? Budget Hours, Not Minutes, for Security

Last month, Denver Airport advised travelers to get to the airport as much as three hours before their flights. Still, people waited for more than an hour and a half to clear security.

Airport workers walked up and down the line with therapy dogs and handed out bottled water and candy to travelers, according to one report. The airport accused the T.S.A. of providing an inadequate number of screeners on what was an average Saturday. American Airlines said that the slower security lines had forced it to delay flights and rebook passengers who had missed connections. For instance, in a one-week period in mid-March, the airline said, about 6,800 of its passengers missed their flights after being stuck in T.S.A. lines too long.

“T.S.A. lines at checkpoints nationwide have become unacceptable,” said Ross Feinstein, a spokesman for American Airlines. “Lines grew in January, February and March, and now in April, too. We are really concerned about what happens in the summer.”

"THEY ACT AS IF THEY ARE LISTLESS, OVERWEIGHT EMPLOYEES WHO DON'T GIVE A FUCK. WHEN IN REALITY, THEY ARE AN ELITE FORCE OF ANTI-TERRORIST COMMANDOS! OH, CURSE THE BRILLIANT TSA."

“T.S.A. lines at checkpoints nationwide have become unacceptable,”

==================

The fact that the lines exist proves that sentence to be untrue.

Government has never worked. Yes, in reference to Government, the word never is allowed without reservation.

TSA is an employment program,not a security measure. I flew immediately after the 911 air travel ban was lifted the airline put fit males in aisle seats.No obtrusive preboarding screening.I felt totally secure and more comfortable than traveling today. BTW Denver is the pits.

"TSA is an employment program...."
==================

That describes the entire gov't, all of it.
80% of the employees are *minorities*.

We went through this with the lines at MSP a couple of months ago. After spending millions to move and rearrange the security system in order to make it more efficient, the new system seemed to double the delays. The TSA management said, "Too bad. It will suck. We can't fix it unless you give us lots more money."

The attitude had so much bureaucratic "fuck you" in it that it stirred even the sclerotic lefty politicians here from their slumber. Hearings were held. Other bureaucrats came to town to explain.

It was pointed out that the passenger load hadn't increased, and neither had the number of TSA gropers decreased.

It seems to be a national effort to throw the middle finger at the Republicans in Congress, who refuse to increase TSA funding to the level the administration wants.

The folks who authored the TSA laws foolishly included a clause allowing airports to opt out. Some have. MSP is seriously considering it, but they'll probably find a way to make nice and pretend they solved things.

Apparently Orlando is the Worst Place in the World for security.

Yet the airline companies refuse to push back. Scared of the multi alphabet entities that regulate their existence. And the pirates & stews got a special break so they avoid the lines but wth, screw the customers.
