Time is tight for me, and DM is not the best military analyst. However, I do listen to him and his voice is important.

Hillary has promised to start a war with Russia by setting up a no fly zone (a weasel tactic that pretends to be bold). She has flagged her move, and at the same time she will diminish our military, and no doubt do whatever possible to damage their morale.

Trump has said that he is against military adventures, but will fight to win if necessary and take a hard line where necessary. Who knows what he'll do? He also lacks military knowledge, but at least I think he knows this, and also has a lead with your chin attitude. My impression is that he wants to negotiate with Putin, but that in no way means Putin walks away with advantages.

Putin has succeeded in Syria; he may not wish to go any further there. It looks like he intends to expand out to former outposts. He has recidivised the Crimean War and controls the Black Sea to an extent never seen before by Russians.

God help us. I have been crying out about Russia for a couple of years, and have been labeled a neo con and a war monger. Of course, that's bullshit. Hillary is certainly a warrior without a head, and we'll regret ever knowing her if she takes office.

Gird up.

If you hadn't seen it before:

SYRIA – IT’S THE PIPELINE STUPID!

Why are we funding the Syrian rebels?
Regime change against a despot dictator?

Nope.

Please tell it like it is—here’s why the USA has a hard-on for regime change in Syria…. Western financial interests want to run a pipeline up from Quatar, up through Syria, through Turkey and into Europe. This is the plan, Sam. This cannot be denied. This is the real reason behind all the hype and disinformation.

And it’s all about trillions of $$$. Trillions and trillions of $$$ over the next half generation once a pipeline is installed. And all the establishment’s pockets (both Democratic and GOP) are lined and will be lined with blood money from lobbyists and donors. The foolish establishment meme (from both sides) is that we should go do war with Russia over Syria.

The drums of war are beating loudly now. A hot conflict could break out at any moment. We are pushing and pushing Russia into a corner and at some point they will lash out at our provocations.

The Benghazi Weapons Smuggling Operation was a key element in this Syrian regime-change operation. It brought death and destruction to thousands of innocent civilians in Syria now caught in the middle of civil war—brought about by western intervention.

There would be no “Syria crisis” without the insane foreign policy of Clinton and Obama.

What, me worry about a nuclear blitz when a nice electromagnetic pulse or hack of our electric power grid would destroy our civilization while preserving our physical assets and leaving us easy prey for domination by Russia or China -- neither of whom might have perpetrated our 'clean' defeat?

The problem with an EMP is, if you strike at the King you must kill him. And nobody knows how well those EMP thingies actually work. It might just leave us bloodied, bruised, and pissed off. Us, anyway. I'm certain our red diaper government and the pink-underwear sissy generals will be far more concerned and relieved about keeping themselves in power. A (dis)proportionate response would put their positions and pensions at risk.

You can be sure that whatever their response will be, it will be calculated to keep themselves in power and us in thrall.

The choice, increasingly seems to be nuclear war with Russia or the overthrow of the treasonous Neo-con filth-, which at this point looks like it will require violence- i.e. Civil War.

Not dark enough.

If we have a war with Putin (which he seems to want at this point), the only way we won't also have a war with China is if Putin gets stupid and strikes at China too (Which he might, of course. Russian.) or if we refuse to defend our Pacific and other allies (which Obama obviously doesn't want to do).

China has been doing the imperialist thing for the last ten years or more, setting up bases all over the world, including in our hemisphere. It could be very bad to have a war with them, much less a two-front war with both Russia and China.

And of course you know North Korea will try something, but I'm not nearly as worried about them as about the obvious signs from the big players.

War with Russia = War with the New Troika ... Vladville, MaoMart and Persia.

It won't go nuclear unless al-Amerikwa initiates. Read Club Orlov to see a rational explication of how it would go. Infrastructure interdiction, and no mass casualties, just a paralyzed opponent. Znayu ?

'Kwa forces that are forward deployed will be Dien Bienb Phu-ed. Quickly. For background, see 'Sunburn,' 'Yakhont,' and S-400 - which ends Western air superiority moves. Vlad plays chess, Barry watches ESPN. Vlad was head of the KGB, Barry is the final fruit of PC-accommodative Affirmative Theft, and all he does is weed and reggielove

The Troikas' citizens are fluent with scarcity and duress. Kwafolk ? Notsomuch.

Russia has no imperial ambition, unlike the AngloAmBanksters. The petrodollar is circling the bowl, so expect death throes from its' Owners.

Prepare Accordingly

I swear the biggest threat to life, liberty, and Western Civilization is nice, upper middle class white ladies; the soccer moms.

The most pampered, bubble-occupying creatures in history. I just wish they alone could suffer the consequences of the coming hard re-set and not drag the rest of us with them.

An EMP will not do it. It will/could cause considerable infrastructure damage but it will leave us all alive and pissed off and will not substantially harm our military ability. Russia's only chance to win a war with the U.S. is a massive nuclear first strike followed up by a massive cleanup strike to take out whatever was missed. Even then it is likely we would get some amount of our own nuclear weapons launched AND then there are the boomers...

One day the world will see a nuclear war. To believe otherwise is simple ignorance of human nature. It will probably be the result of Iran trying to destroy Israel and fulfill the 12th imam prophecy or it could be a crazy dictator either thinking they could win or not caring. It could also be the end result of a prolonged conflict between two nuclear powers since it would be incredibly stupid to give up while having the ability to wipe the other side out. The problem with nukes is similar to the problem any armed person has when attacked; they cannot simply choose not to fight or to only defend without drawing the weapon because sooner or later the attacker is going to use that weapon to kill them. If you are armed and attacked the only wise thing to do is shoot first. Ditto for nukes.

However launching EMP weapons is kinda like shooting your armed opponent with a pellet gun. It won't kill him or deter him but it will piss him off.

It may eliminate his ability to strike back, and initiate a civil war.

"When the lights go out the wild animals rise."

I was a wild animal in my youth. Over the last several years I seem to have regained some of that wildness, at least in spirit. I am actually looking forward to participating in any "action". Much more so than during Nam.

@Terry.
Just this morning, over morning mud, I was telling a friend that it is depressing that all of this is going down as I enter my golden years. The time I have always looked forward to, of sitting on the porch and watching the animals, puttering in the workshop, being a grandpa, faithful husband, friend to all, global citizen.

But over the past 5-15 years it has become apparent that I'm being forced to become again that which I once was long ago, a borderline out of control insane animal.

I barely remember a time, before civility wearing a dress kidnapped and caged me and forced me to be more human than animal, when it took almost nothing for me to flair up right now, and til the job was done.

All the time riding the front edge.

Now, in looking back, I don't believe I was that way - more like a series of cheap dime novels I read during a prolonged case of boredom.

But I find myself more and more these days reflecting back on those times, drawing from them the forgotten knowledge I may very well need in the immediate future or even now. Finding coordination between the methods of then and the means of today.

I don't like it. Not one dam bit.
But we had a saying in the army and it's the way I've lived most aspects of my life:

"If you can't get out of it, get into it."

Given Hillary's history of being unable to control her temper, recall throwing lamps at Bill? One wonders what she may hurl at her international enemies?
