The Second American Revolution

Relax, it's just a movie promo.

Gray State -- Indiegogo

Synopsis.

"The world reels with the turmoil of war, geological disaster, and economic collapse, while Americans continue to submerge themselves in illusions of safety and immunity. While rights are sold for security, the federal government, swollen with power, begins a systematic takeover of liberty in order to bring about a New World Order.

"Americans, quarantined to militarized districts, become a population ripe for tyrannical control.

"Fearmongering, terrorism, police state, martial law, war, arrest, internment, hunger, oppression, violence, resistance – these are the new terms by which Americans define their existence. Neighbor is turned against neighbor as the value of the dollar plunges to zero, food supplies are depleted, and everyone is a terror suspect. There are arrests. Disappearances. Bio attacks. Public executions of those even suspected of dissent. Even rumors of concentration camps on American soil.

"This is the backdrop to an unfolding story of resistance. American militias prepare for guerilla warfare. There are mass defections from the military as true Patriots attempt to rally around the Constitution and defend liberty, preparing a national insurgency against federal forces, knowing full well this will be the last time in history the oppressed will be capable of organized resistance.

"It is a time of transition, of shifting alliance, of mass awakening and mass execution. It is an impending storm, an iron-gray morning that puts into effect decades of over-comfort and complacency, and Americans wake up to an occupied homeland. It is a time of lists – black list, white list, and those still caught in the middle, those who risk physical death for their free will and those who sell their souls to maintain their idle thoughts and easy comforts. It is in this Gray State that the perpetuation of human freedom will be contested, or crushed.

"Is it the near future, or is it the present? The Gray State is coming - by consent or conquest. This is battlefield USA."

Where do you draw the line, folks? I know where I've drawn mine. And once they cross it... Deo vindice.

Looks like an infowars promo. Might still be true, though.

Bill, go piss off the big dyke at Homeland Security. You'll find yourself stuffed into that minimum cup and buried in the sand.

I'd guess you think Venezuela is a neat place to live.

I thought Bill was just making a harmless joke....

Actually, I thought bill's remark was a subtle, true and saddened social commentary.

Allow me ot make a poor attempt to put his remark in plain language:

"Guess what? Nobody's paying attention to it! Nobody wants to pay attention to it! Those that should be paying attention to it, are busy distracting with trivia like "lack of a minimum cup size requirement in women's beach volleyball," those who should be paying attention to it, so they won't pay attention it!"

Clear now?

Speed is the great unknown. Propagation, sequence... I don't know the right word. Time has taken some edge from what little sharp I ever had.

Failure happens exponentially vs. the height of the fall.

Lincoln was right. We have done it to ourselves. There is no mighty foe. There is only us, and we have elected, over generations, to be not free.

Y'all assuming that such an entity--like FEMA, could actually carry through with all that it would take to do all that.

Really? You really think they're that competent? Really?

Eric -

I don't see Uncle Sugar becoming Uncle Joe, no... I see collapse. That will be messy enough.

There is a whole other (but very valid) discussion to be had on the consequences of militarizing police agencies as much as we have, and the possible outcomes post-collapse where these agencies attempt to continue their missions in the absence of a state.

The number of nomex wearing, night vision equipped, ceramic armoured, automatic weapon carrying cops pales into insignificance against the number of citizens who will be done taking direction from a failed state.

This administration - the political part, not the hack remoras shoaling around Obama, Holder, Axelrod, and Jarret - has accomplished just about what they set out to do. They wake up every day wondering when somebody in the Dem Caucus or on the Editorial board of MSNBC will come out screaming "WAKE UP!!!!!"...

A coup. Not an administration.

I hope that things hold together long enough for Ayer's book to be published. It will be a great read around the camp fire.

"Imagine, Barry - just imagine if we... you... did do the Long March through the institutions? All the way to the top?

It would be ... magnificent."

I didn't see the Heroic Negro that will appear to lead hapless white people to victory? What kind of movie is this?

TMJ: Collapse? Just what do you mean, collapse? How? What is going to 'collapse'?

You and other people keep using that word; I don't think it means what you think it means.

Posted by: Eric Blair at August 16, 2012 12:04 PM

Eric, I am fully aware of what "collapse" means.

We are living in a social/economic ponzi scheme. When the marks finally get stung, things have to reset.

This election will probably bring that about.

Did you happen to notice that Jon Corzine walked today?

If I could convince my better half to cash out our portfolio into something physical, I would. Our investments are what makes it possible for the political class to rule. The Treasury prints money around the clock to spend, but it's the moving around of all those little dollars that people have worked their lives for that the sharks feed upon.

Something will give. It will probably be some damn stupid thing in California, the New Balkans of our times.

Posted by: TmjUtah at August 16, 2012 7:11 PM

I'm still waiting for what you think is going to 'collapse' and how.

Yes, Corzine walked. That was wrong. There are many things wrong with the world. Somehow, it continues.
