The Irrational Hatred of Donald Trump #NeverTrump

a-640-achimpoutrepublican.jpg

Question: “From our observations, Ted Cruz is receiving significant support from the Objectivist online community.

Some say they support him because, while flawed, he's still the most principled pro-freedom candidate available. Others explicitly support him only because he's not Donald Trump. This is coming from a community that has historically identified religion as the gravest threat to the culture, to the point that key Objectivist intellectuals endorsed voting Democrat in 2004 and 2008. Yet now that the Republicans have a viable non-religious candidate, Trump has morphed into the new gravest threat to America.”
“The mental gymnastics we've seen to justify this position have been truly astounding and suggest some visceral emotion is driving the anti-Trump/pro-Cruz response. As long-time Objectivists ourselves, it's disturbing to us to see this coming from a community with a professed commitment to reason. What do you think is the root of this response to Trump, and what does it mean for the hope of turning the culture toward true commitment to reason?”

Yes, Mr Trump has a lot of ideas he has expressed, many of them completely contradictory. His fans use a filter to hear only the ideas they agree with. Kind of reminds me of the Obama fans in 2008, projecting on a blank slate. It's not irrational to reject Trump, as a person and as a potential chief executive. That has nothing to do with whether or not on some issues a listener may be in agreement. Funny how people who are so skeptical of conventional politicians and don't expect them to make right the world, cry "heretic!" at anyone doubtful about their hero. There's a chump born every minute, as a sage once noted.

Seconded Art, as for Daphne, I've met him too, and found him quite charming.

Cruz of course is constitutionally ineligible to be president. Nothing but a constitutional amendment can alter that fact.

Whereas obozo is/was widely suspected of ineligibility, his "opponent" insane Juan McLame the Panamanchurian candidate Was Not eligible; now comes Rafael Eduardo Cruz, Canadian citizen by birth, insider by connection and choice.

Folks, you are being played for fools. The above is done to erase any semblance of borders, nationality, sovereignty. Ushering in the NWO. And just in time for the collapse.
