Newt: Get the Hook!

It was obvious to everyone who remembered the history of the 1990s that Gingrich would be a disaster as a presidential candidate.... Yet millions of Republican activists... enthused over him as a candidate and made him the man of the hour. Or the man of two or three weeks, maybe. The same pattern has been repeated more than once during the current, discouraging presidential nominating process. If the GOP loses this year’s presidential contest, the party will have no one to blame but its own activists. -- Hinderaker @ Newt: In the Polls, It’s Deja Vu | Power Line

Okay now, we've all been pretty patient with the Republican incarnation of the Pillsbury Doughboy, but he has clearly reached his sell-by date.

Not only is Gingrich promulgating posters that let the Democrats punch him in the chins, he's putting out posters where he is starting to look suspiciously like Chris Matthews after a long night of man love with Barack Obama.

That's three and he is out of here!

I submit that anyone who supplies this much mockery material this early on is in no way, shape, or form ready to be the candidate for the San Francisco Castro Distric Wholesale supplier of MRSA, much less President.

Newt, I'd tell you to "Get off the stage before the lights dim," but you are obviously already staggering about in a blighted night darker than a hundred midnights down in a cypress swamp. As for those who are still wandering around said cypress swamp "supporting" this fellow... you should be ashamed of yourselves and probably are. If not, just hang around and Newt will fix you right up.

I'd say the man is fulla himself. Just a little.

The eye candy on the right column was all I could concentrate on.

Ah, Gerard, you should've been listening to NPR today to get a grip on just what their plans are for Santorum. His little "guillotine" warning has them howling in derision. He is the God Problem Candidate.

So, Romney. Really? I suppose Lisa Murkowski knows best. . .

Posted by: Joan of Argghh at February 15, 2012 5:19 PM

Newt's slutiness turned me off decades before it became an item in this campaign, Santorum creeps me out. I don't want any of them to tell me what to do in my personal life.

Mitt, OTOH, has exactly what I believe we need to get this country back on track. I thought so in 2008 and I think even more so today. You can keep your so-cons, I'll take Romney, who I believe in his personal life is the most conservative, but I want someone who knows how the economy works, understands business and jobs and none of the others can hold a candle to him in this arena.

Nicely delivered bitch-slap Joan. Not so hard as to damage the merchandise, but hard enough to get the point across.

Sara, congratulations, you and Gerard have found your candidate, the "conservative" who believes in government. You're both 180 degrees out from the norm you seek to court. Most indies want a fiscal conservative and social liberal. You've managed to turn that on its head. Go Willard!

BTW, when do we get to all that downright strange Mormon shit?

JC Watts said he voted for 0bama, because he's black. As a candidate running against 0bama, I wouldn't be sucking up to and posing with him.

Here's a picture of Newt in his natural habitat:

I'm a survivor of sixties and seventies excess and a reasonably productive citizen. Still sometimes life on the edge all those years makes mental , verbal and planning discipline somewhat tricky. That's the Newtster in spades. He runs his mouth. He has left a eighteen lane paper trail of stupid. His amoral lifestyle makes a lie of his moral posturing. He's so yesterday and Calista looks like a freakin' Martian.
He reminds me of Demi Moore turning 50, trying to live like she's 18, trying to cop another toy boy while "each line screams out 'you're old, you're old, you're old..'in the words of the late Phil Ochs.
So Newton take your fat self back to the bloviating-o-sphere on cable tv. Maybe you can team up with McCain's daughter, Meggy McPhat on some seldom watched gabathon on Fox. Your time is up.
