Climate science is now and always has been in the very best of hands!
"Now, everybody sing! I tell you, my dear friends, oh, how wonderful it is, no matter wherever you are, we can all be happy singing, no matter if you're out there parked in that car along the highway, or whether you're at home, sitting by the radio, or whether you're having a meal, or whether you're by the TV set, let everyone sing about the melting icecaps, how they're coming down into the sea, and let us all have a swimming time, as we sing...."
The ice caps are melting, oh ho ho ho!
All the world is drowning, oh ho ho ho ho.
The ice caps are melting,
The tide is rushing in.
All the world is drowning,
To wash away the sin!
So Al Gore had long hair back in the 60s?
Posted by: John Ziemba at October 1, 2012 7:26 PMTiny Tim was an interesting guy, I don't remember when I found that video. Tim was very religious and if you read that one lyric "All the world is drowning, To wash away the sin." it can be very religious. I don't think Tiny Tim wrote the song. He did a series of remakes before he died, I think he remade AC/DC's Highway to Hell.
Posted by: Mike at October 2, 2012 3:43 AMYou're correct. He didn't write it. "The liner notes credit "a young songwriter" and give his name as Bill Dorsey. The arrangement, which is probably equally important with this song, is by an Artie Butler."
