Bing, the Beautiful Time-Lapse Search Engine

binghome.jpg

On beyond Google: Take a look at the stunningly beautiful home page of Bing. A nice change from the dinky little squibs that Google slaps on its page. In time-lapse too. Changing default search engine in 5,4,3,2,1....

Used to use Scroogle but they are no longer available. Now, if you want privacy check out startpage.com or ixquick.com. You can proxy from the search results. Your ip address isn't recorded which means your searches aren't subjected to algorithms trying to anticipate what you want. Hate that. A machine that can only count has a lot of gall giving us what it "thinks" we want.

To put it succinctly, i read that Google = Big Brother.
John Hinds- Are these proxy servers, and if so, don't they slow things down immensely?

OK, I should have just looked first.
Firefox does say that ixquick is untrusted.
