... like some forgotten dream that we've both seen.
Posted by gerardvanderleun at April 26, 2013 10:33 PMBeautiful. Thank you. Reminds me of Simon and Garfunkle's "Old Friends."
Posted by: Terry at April 27, 2013 5:47 AMNice tune. The thought conveyed of lonesome old people may be apt but only to some. I'm 80 now and in touch with so many old and new friends. Life is a daily round of news - some good, some bad, but all of interest.
If someone ever said, "Hello in there," to me, I would assume he/she thought me senile. That may lie in the future, but not yet, not yet by a damn sight.

Posted by: Jimmy J. at April 27, 2013 7:41 AMYuck. That was pap.
Posted by: Eric Blair at April 27, 2013 2:10 PMI first heard that song when I was 18. Right when the album was released. Every time I hear it, it makes me tear up. I guess it was the Korean war reference that got to me; it just goes on from there.
Jimmy J. I'm glad to hear things are good at 80.
Posted by: Mike at April 27, 2013 9:52 PMWhy do I come to American Digest? Because I want to think. I want something true. Bless you Jimmy J. There is a man in his nineties I talk to almost every day. He is my inspiration. He's always filled with mirth. Linked here: http://bobagard.blogspot.com/2013/05/hello-in-there.html
