When I see this fascist rig ...

Birddog @ Maggie's Farm see this spiffy new stimulus-money bought truck parked at the beach and asks, "What the heck?"

Me? I see them and go back to my car for:

Caltrop.jpg
Caltrop used by the US Office of Strategic Services. The hollow spikes puncture self-sealing rubber tires. The hole in the center allows air to escape even if the other end of the tube is sealed by soft ground.

At least 4. This crap's gotta stop somewhere. Time to fight them bitches on the beaches.

Sorry, as a peon of the People's Republic I have to ask you, humbly, please not to burst the big and impressive tire of the Patron. He will take the cost out of my meager stipend that I am allowed to keep.

If you are not doing anything wrong, you have everything to fear.

I don't understood why so many conservatives/republicans are so supportive of the abuses of the police.

$10,000 fine if you let your dog or kid accidentally wander into the bird sanctuary part of Vilano Beach nowadays.

Do they think we'll run out of available rope and lamp posts?

I'm not sure I would agree with you, Mike. Conservatives are definitely for law and order, but what we have here is not that. People are becoming very aware of the abuses. It's time to make cops responsible for the things they do. Too many stories of no-knock warrants gone wrong.

And yeah, NYDEP cops drive similar rigs. I've asked them about the carbon footprint of those with dirty looks as the response. Surprised I have not been ticketed or harassed. I personally can't believe that there's yet a separate police agency for environmental stuff. If it's a crime, why can't the normal state police handle it?

Cops operate in a sweet spot on the authority-accountability graph: high authority, low accountability. What could possibly go wrong?

This is why civlian CCW holders are safer: high accountability, low authority.

And when the po-po do screw up and are caught, it's the taxpayer who ultimately pays the settlement.
