'What Difference Does It Make?': A small collection of reactions to more mush from the wimpette

Hill Grunts and Punts on the Hill

If the public doesn't expect integrity or truth from what used to be called our public servants (what a quaint phrase!), then lies and strategic stonewalling will not bother most people at all. What matters is what those public servants can get for you, and what they can scare you into thinking the opposition will take away from you (tampons, anyone?) -- neo-neocon "What difference does it make?"

Sultan Knish: All The Difference in the World What Difference Does It Make?: Hillary Clinton in Peace and War" will show up on shelves with a cover of her in some distant country looking out at the exotic landscape or surrounded by properly foreign children. It will be packaged along with a public speaking tour of colleges as Hillary promises to teach the leaders of tomorrow how they too can make a difference her way.

Best of the Web Today: 'What Difference Does It Make?' Mrs. Clinton was back in a familiar role, and an ironic one for someone who is supposed to be a feminist icon. Once again, she was helping the most powerful man in the world dodge accountability for scandalous behavior.

"€œWhat Difference Does it Make?"€ Plenty -- Commentary Magazine While Clinton gave, as she has before, lip service to the idea that she took responsibility for the tragedy, throughout her testimony she demonstrated that she regarded the whole idea of accountability as a detail to be shrugged off or pigeonholed....

Michelle Obama's Mirror: If it weren'€™t for low integrity... We'€™ve yet to find out whose idea it was to spin the yarn of the Benghazi attack as the result of a video that nobody saw and whose producer is still sitting in jail for a parole violation.  Oh well, "€œwhat difference does it make!?!"

Clinton's statement may set a new standard for politically motivated evasions of basic truth and decency. Seriously: What difference does it make? Just for low-stakes starters, there's a guy in California who was put in jail basically because the Obama administration said his stupid, irrelevant video trailer for "The Innocence of Muslims" was to blame for anti-Americanism in Libya and beyond. -- 3 Incredibly Outrageous Evasions by Hillary Clinton About Benghazi - Hit & Run : Reason.com

The context of her now-infamous remark makes it even worse.

The woman is ofal, and yet she may be our next President.

Excellent summary of blog posts and analysis of Hillary's now infamous performance.

When Rand Paul told her he would have relieved her of her duties for not responding to requests for more security, she smiled and probably marked him down as someone to be destroyed at some future date. Any woman that would stay married to Bubba for the political advantages it affords her is a determined and dangerous woman.

In spite of her reputation as "the smartest woman in the whole world," she is just another emprty (pant)suit. That doesn't mean she isn't dangerous to those who she considers the Other.
