Go read http://www.zerohedge.com/ if you want more technical details of the world's debt binge. But, wait and do it on some day when you are too cheerful and need a dose of reality. When ZH veers into politics it's sometimes a bit left for my taste, but the economic perspective is chilling. It's like sitting beside a MLB baseball pitcher and hearing him narrate the play by play. It's a bit technical, but he focus on the details that matter and not just filling the page.

I don;t see how the world economy survives what we've got cooking, including China, EU, and us. The failure of any one of these will be as big, or bigger, than the 1930s. It looks like all 3 will break down and it could be a matter of a year or two before it happens, if we are lucky. If one of the 3 cracks, it will certainly cause the others to crack.

I feel like a real schmuck for laughing at the gold bugs for the last decade. I don't know what besides commodities will have value if this 3-fer starts to happen.
