On Idiot Repug Pundits Running Amuck

obTrillionDollar-Bill2.jpg

Sorry but I’m not sold by this morning’s autofornication festival among the pundit Republicans. They’ll have to try much harder to convince me they are anything other than blood simple and bone stupid. From a glance around the sphere I take it that because Rick Perry didn’t have bad Fed agency number 3 dripping off the tip of his tongue that he’s out of the game. Is that the deal? Is that the requirement? Is that the one item that undoes the incontrovertible success of years of successful governance? Really? If that's what you think join the ever lengthening Republican line to tongue kiss Barack Obama.

I don’t think the end of the Perry candidacy has been reached for one single solitary rooten-tooten moment. Indeed I think that those who are whipping out their “He’s Toast” fork are only competing for the Drool Cup awards of 2011. To my mind, not being able to come up with the necessary smooth palaver 99.9999% of the time is a positive recommendation to the office of President. Indeed I don’t know why the current field of Repubs subject themselves to these “anything but debates” debates time after time. I don’t notice the current resident doing so and, if anyone is unfit to be president, it’s the current resident.

Or have we some how all forgotten how clueless Obama actually is when it comes to things like basic arithmetic, the history of the United States of America, the history of Europe, the state of Israel, capitalism, and a dozen other items he knows zip, zero, nada about? Is that it? Do we think that the his three years of being in the job has actually made him less stupid? Is that how stupid we've become?

In the past week death loving Republicans and those who would kill Republicans have worked together hand in glove to damage at least two of those running in this mug’s game leading up to Iowa. They’ve done a great job repeating and magnifying slander when it comes to Herman Cain, and now a similar host seem to want to make people believe that Rick Perry is also somehow “unfit.”

Really? All I can see are a bunch of bozos who don’t belong on the conservative bus spending a lot of time free-riding everyone towards certain defeat. Excuse me if I don’t buy into the blather this AM. It’s beyond stupid. It’s vintage DUMBTH. It’s typical Republican. You know, the losers.

We are seemingly being pushed inexorably to Mitt Romney. I am afraid we will be left with him, just as we were left with McCain.

Palin 2012

Posted by: Sandy Daze at November 10, 2011 12:45 PM

Forget Palin; it's not happening. She's putting her family first, and I can't blame her. The Left is psychotic.

Keep supporting Perry and Cain; don't let the Left force Romney on us. Don't buy their bullshit.

Amen, Gerard!

Yeah, I'm solidly in your corner on most of this.

Only part I really disagree with is -- I wouldn't bet too much money Perry's still in the game. Looks like an even-money bet to me. It was a pretty gory incident, after all.

But as you know from the posts on my "Hello Kitty" wall, I think this race-that-isn't-a-race, to yell "Stick a fork!" is absolutely revolting. I don't know what the participants are after, exactly. And I don't know why something in their pea-brains isn't going "ding!" when they find themselves yelling it so often, about different candidates, one week after the other. How can they possibly not see themselves being manipulated like a Jim Henson muppet with five hairy knuckles jammed up its butt?

I don't get these people. Don't think I want to.

I have never seen a more clueless bunch of commentators. They have absolutely no idea of what regular people think or believe. They cannot understand why Cain stays popular despite gaffes and accusations. After three years of hopeless change, we are waking up and aren't being fooled by smooth talk and looks. Any combination of Cain, Perry, and Gingrich is fine with me.

okay, i buy your gambit that one fo-pah does not a candidate break. but
this is a foolish game:
putting your eggs in one basket after another
and dropping one basket after another...
Is it your candidate you want, or ABO?
Given the perilous ledge we are all on, I will take almost anyone, but Obama, who is willing to don the mantle....no, i mean ANYONE!!! Fukkin' Hilary would be better, and you know it! Fukkin' Biden would be better and that, my friend is scrapping the bottom.
Now, we have the Republican field...composed of two types of candidates:
the TOTALLY UNELECTABLE given the functional reality of our voting republic...
and the POSSIBLY ELECTABLE...those who stand a reasonable chance of 1)garnering enough VOTES to get into office, and 2) actually doing the JOB AT HAND...salvaging our asses from post-modern dark ages. And come on let's get real!
In the first category, in no particular order: UNELECTABLE
1.Bachman
2.Santorum
3.Paul
4.Huntsman
5.candidates not running
In the second category, those with a ghost of a chance:
1. Perry - the Fred Thompson of 2012...it ain't gonna happen, face it. He won't beat Obama. And he doesn't meet the minimum criteria of being a credible and capable STATESMAN!!!
2. Cain - a great guy...but not truly qualified, even by Truman standards, 'tho more so than BHO. Good instincts, heart's in the right place, beats the 'racist' canard, great one-liners, HOWEVER, CANNOT do the job, i.e. win the 'independent' vote, convince the partisan bastards, debate his way out of a paper bag, etc. etc.
3. Romney - right now the front runner, our great despairing hope. COULD DO THE JOB!!! QUALIFIED! WILLING! CAPABLE OF BRIDGING PARTISAN GAPS, , not perfect (gasp!), getting dissed daily by own own folks!!!
4. Gingrich - the only candidate perfectly prepared on every front to hit it out of the park, except for the bad press (read: they know he's formidable) He has some marks against him with the evans, etc...bullshit! Let's get REAL

BEAT BARACK OBAMA

Cain and Gingrich would make a great ballot. Just keep Mitt 'Wall St.' Romney out. That schmeck will sell us out in a heart beat.

I respect Romney's business chops.

Unfortunately his political - fu has risen to the level where his desire to win has replaced his founding principles.

I find Cain to be tremendously qualified from a leadership and executive ability angle. There is no comparison to the incumbent because Obama is an over credentialed affirmative action hire whose only claim to executive fame was laundering over a hundred million dollars of grant money with an accomplice from the Weathermen.

If the choice were between better and worse, I would go party. That is not the case. Obama is an agent of destruction bent on bringing down the Republic, and no "Republican" running seems to be able to frame the contest as one of survival.

This tells me they (the establishment Republicans) might have their sentiments nearly right, but as a practical matter they are as unqualified to serve as is Obama.

Cain is the only one I would consider voting for now. Consider enough to vote him over Obama, at least.

It just struck me that I one time wrote a rather impassioned plea to not vote third party, to NOT stay home just because you didn't see a candidate worth voting for....

It might have been here.

I was wrong.

Good rant Gerard. I like it when you get the inner curmudgeon working.

I am beyond disgusted at those who are supposedly on the right side who are playing the Demonrats game. Do they not see that they are being manipulated? I guess not. Like you say: The Stupid Party

Busy destroying Perry and Cain while trashing Romney at every turn.

This is on a subject I totally agree with and have been screaming about since 2008, letting the G..D... media and fellow travelers pick the Republican candidate... again.

What would be more useful exercise in picking our next leader than the debates, putting a puppy and a hammer in front of every candidate. Think Iran wants to deal with a American President that they watched beat a puppy to death? Buy the candidates a deck of cards and only let the candidates advance to the next primary the ones that can make money running a game of three-card-Monty on the streets of New York City. That would show us which man should negotiate with the EU.

Right now, I'd be willing to support the candidate that would turn his back and walk away from these stooge-fests.
