More Rubble, Less Trouble: Some Ask "Why?" I Ask "Why Not?"

napalamdemo.jpg

Some see an insane muslim burning the American flag. I see an oppressed, bonfire-challenged muslim begging for a live, on-site, fly-by demo of American napalm.

Why is this man yelling: "Shoot me! Shoot me!"? Islam makes you stupid.

It’s hard to take seriously some dude in capris.

It's a shame that a short dude in capri pants, screaming 'We're number one', can expose Obama for what he is.

Gerard,

I think you misinterpret. He's calling for a nuclear strike.

I stand with leelu:

Ripley: "I say we take off and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure."

I have been reading your sight for quite some time. I enjoy it very much.

I have never agreed more with anything you've written.

American foreign policy started out as "we just want the freedom to peacefully compete to sell our stuff to whoever might want to buy it". Over time, it's collected cruft, but that is still the core.

Our diplomats try to keep only a short list of no-go places. We must now decde if the time has come for benign or malign neglect of wider areas. Pull out, close our embassies and consulates, tell our people it's advisable not to go there as you'll get no help from us.

Still probably can't do it, though. If we ignored them and abandoned them to their fates, they'd probably brew up a pile to trouble to visit upon us. Why should they suffer while we're living high on the hog? And if we abandoned them, how would we collect intel on the trouble coming our way?

We send food and money to Egypt to keep the place from collapsing into riots and chaos, sparking widespread regional stability. That's not working. Time to start using that money to build containment. Imagine an uber Snake Plisken in Escape from Cairo.

I shudder at what's coming, but there are too many surplus people in this world. Too many everywhere. Calling it a humanitarian disaster naively anthropomorphizes Nature. If you can't earn your own keep AND defend what's yours, you're deservedly on the cull list.

I saw a bunch of idiots like this one on their way to the demonstation/flag-burning yesterday in Jakarta. Most of them were from Front Pembela Islam (Islamic Defenders Front), a group of local thugs who like to trash bars, gambling dens, and whorehouses, but are more than willing to stop if paid a proper bribe. In other words, they run an extortion racket that any Sicilian wise guy would recognize, only with an "Islamic" spin to it.

I got home in time to watch the coverage of the demonstration on the local news, and the cops did an excellent job of keeping the "pengunjuk rasa" ("those showing their feelings", as all demonstrators here are called) confined to the public road and away from the US Embassy itself. That there were probably as many police as there were demonstrators helped, as did the water cannons and tear gas.

FPI and its buddies also do lots of demonstrations in from of western embassies and government buildings. Some are true believers, probably this moron is one of them, but Indonesia is part of the third world, and the rent-a-mob is a common phenomenon here. Find a group of jobless layabouts, pay them all RP20,000 (about $2), include lunch if you're really generous, provide them with signs and slogans, and bingo, instant mob for any cause.

This is a shorthand way to identify the Salafis in the crowd. According to their doctrine, long pants that cover the ankle indicate "arrogance before God". Don't ask me why, I was laughing so hard I couldn't continue reading at that point. But just consider it an easy way to prioritize one's targets in case ammunition is in limited supply.

As I have posted lots of other places; In the fullness of time we'll regret not sending the Air Force by October 1, 2001. A terrorist seldom gives trouble having been incinerated. Or blown to bits.

I just posted this on the Coffee House Wall blog in England, in response to a series of comments by Malfleur which included several links from the Front Page blog on the massacre of your diplomat and his staff in Libya: it ends with a heartfelt plea which I hope reaches an American audience, please forgive me for hitching a ride:

Malfleur (03:15 - 03:21)

If those articles and pictures were published by the mainstream media and if Western Civilisation had even a residual spark of spunk left over from the Second World War, then every Mosque and every madrassa in the West would be confiscated tomorrow, closed - and every Imam returned the country from which they, or their parents came along with their congregations (for logistical details see Austin Barry's excellent plan delineated yesterday).

But there is no such spark, other than from the fingers of old farts such as you and me who still love the notional country that existed when we were born. The minds of our children and theirs have, over half a century or more, been captured and polluted by the most insidious propaganda campaign devised in the history of the human race. Thus the greatest experiment ever devised by humanity - that of universal freedom of the individual - has finally failed and the lights are indeed being extinguished globally by the unholy alliance of dual evil cults: Islam and Communism (under all the euphemistic labels), assisted by the useful idiots who seem to think that if they bury their heads up their own fundaments they will feel no pain.

That is my diagnosis in a nutshell, which is unlikely to be accepted as valid by anybody outside our small circle of philosophical outlaws. As for the prescription and prognosis, it seems that there are simply not enough cojones around in he West to put into the mix of medication (or meditation, even) that would be necessary to effect the cure.

Here's another picture that should spark the necessary conflagration; but it won't:

Obummer Bullshits while the West Burns and Bestial Barbarians Butcher or Boys on Active Service Abroad.

Get that bad bastard out of the Oval Office. It's your last chance America. Our own political assholes and their Euroconspirators have already surrendered. You are the last hope and November is the deadline. By any and all means necessary.

My apologies: that last comment was originally posted on the Coffee House Wall blog, here in England. Apologies for hitching a ride here but the last paragraph is a heartfelt plea that I would like to reach an American audience. We are feeling your pain and our own boys/girls are being similarly put in harms way by our own political idiots who also seem to think that taking backward steps is a way of winning the war.

Posted by: Frank P at September 18, 2012 3:18 AM

We feel your pain as well, Frank. If anything, the UK is even farther along the path to dhimmitude than the US is, and you have also had your right to self-defense stripped away. The lions of English history--Churchill, Gordon, Napier, Nelson, Elizabeth I, Henry V, Richard I--are going positively gyroscopic in their graves right now. But America has a decent chance of flushing the 0bama crew down the gurgler this November, despite the lies of the MSM. We're not done yet.

Posted by: waltj at September 18, 2012 5:40 AM

Most Americans have the cojones to fight the Muzis. I personally would be willing to head over there tomorrow with nothing but my single-shot Remington 721. I've been to both Libya and Pakistan and would have no problem if both countries disappeared into the mists of human forgetfulness.

Unfortunately, we're not fighting the Muzis. We're fighting our own government. Washington is the enemy, not Jakarta or Benghazi.

Imagine finding out on 8 December 1941 that the President and Congress were more concerned with "violence against Japanese-Americans" and "Shinto, the religion of peace" than with the thousands of our own killed at Pearl Harbor. That's where we are today. And that's why most Americans who care are confused, angry, and broken-hearted.

Few Americans have the heart to turn their guns on the lawful government of their own country. And even speaking about doing so is risky. I don't fear some idiot Muslim with a gun. I can handle any Talibastard who wants to give me a try, I guarantee you. No, I fear that if I complain too loudly on the Internet that some federal employees (who are "just doing their jobs") will kick down my door and take my kids away at gunpoint to be given to Adam and Steve.

Are you ready to become a terrorist? Because that's what it means to fight the enemy in this war.

Posted by: B Lewis at September 18, 2012 6:48 AM

Maybe they're just jealous. We can get laid without being married, and they can't. We can drink beer. In a few hundred years we built the greatest country in the world, and they don't have squat. Plus, we get to enjoy ourselves with thousands of different pursuits. They don't get to try hang gliding or scuba diving or surfing or mountain climbing. They have shitty lives so they want everybody else's lives to be shitty too.

Posted by: mjazz at September 18, 2012 7:13 AM

B Lewis

The answer to your question is, "Yes!" But unfortunately at 78, on chemotherapy for blood cancer, and various other connected disabilities, I might be more of a hindrance than a help on the streets. But when the bastards knock at my door (if I'm still extant when they do it) at least one of 'em will go before I do.

I feel a bit guilty about inciting others to rebel, now that my own cojones have shrunk to peanut proportions, but it's the best I can do with my fingertips for the duration of my stint on this mortal coil. I sadly fear that the duration of our struggle against the Unholy Alliance of Islamic Jihad and International Neo-Marixism will be short and unsuccessful from what we can discern presently; and that the Western age of progress is o'er. As a species, therefore, we are deeply flawed and will return to barbarity before arranging our own extinction. An advanced stage of the process was reached here today when two unarmed women police officers were gunned down by a member of an armed militia of street gangs in Greater Manchester. They were answering a call to shots being fired. Described by an Assistant Chief Constable (of the School of Gramsci no doubt judging by his gobbedegook) as a 'routine call'.

I despair.

Posted by: Frank P at September 18, 2012 7:32 AM

Don't despair. That's what the enemy wants you to do. Instead: laugh in his face and throw your drink in his eyes. Go down fighting.

Besides, the Good Guys win in the end. (I skipped ahead to the last chapter.) None of us are guaranteed to live to see the inevitable Happy Ending, but our kids will. Or their kids. Or somebody's kids.

In any case, I refuse to let the bastards ruin my joy. Whatever comes, Our Lady and her Son will be there for me -- and they are all I need.

@ Arthurstone at September 18, 2012 12:04 PM:

There are no civilians, Arthurstone. None on either side. When civilizations battle, everyone is a soldier.

And I did my heavy lifting, friend. Where were you on 26 April 1986? I know where I was: across the Line of Death in the Gulf of Sidra, at Damage Control 1 on board USS ENTERPRISE, hanging off the side of an aircraft carrier in the dark waiting for a Libyan missile to brew me into human salsa.

That didn't happen, thank God, because we bombed the living shit out of Libya -- and yes, killed civilians.

It's Them or Us, Arthurstone. I pick Us.

Posted by: B Lewis at September 18, 2012 12:47 PM

B Lewis, When two or more nations war, armies get fed and clothed. Civilians not so much.

Given that 'non-combatants' really get the soiled end of the stick, one might as well pick up a stone and cast it.
