Jefferson, Get Me Rewrite!

ISN'T IT REMARKABLE that one of our national political parties is out of power and yet strives daily to exercise it, while the other, which is in power, strives daily to avoid using it?

And it is even more remarkable that our third national party, unelected and self-selected, is our only political entity that has no problem at all with the exercise of its power.

If the Constitution is ever put up for revision, maybe we should take a long hard look at "Amendment, the First." Not to get the government into the business of the press, but just to acknowledge that the press is now in the business of government. That being the case, we'll want to revisit the parts about checks and balances.

I don't know about you, but I stand ready to sharpen my blue pencil.

Me too, but only if I get to stab someone with it.

I've been noticing the same things about our three party system.

Will the point on your blue pencil be as sharp as the pointy heads of the MSM?

If so, I have a few suggestions as to whom you might take a stab...or something like that.

What is this? I am taking my ball and going home?
Seems to me no one is effective until some yahoo starts waving the flag after he's convinced the American moron to ingest his snake oil.
Ours is not the first society subjected to the Predator and you can bet it won't be the last.
However, governor, right now we are Number One!

(You guys are usually cheering-or at least smug. Someone get a run in his hose?)

There's little to cheer about when unelected and unaccountable "entrenched orthodoxies" manipulate public opinion to achieve ends inimical and destructive to the well-being of We, the People.

But I'll bring a sharp pencil or two, GvdL! Say where and when...

"...manipulate public opinion"? Can't you be happy with the two great organs-the NYT and WaPO standing down so you homies(truly) could get into your short skirts and do some hi-military kicks on the sidelines during the Revenge Game?
Keep following Blake. Some call him a mystic, but maybe some were not meant to understand.

I lay odds that this is a bot. Any takers?
