Why am I laughing? But I am. Is this a good or a bad sign for the state of my mental health?

I sent my 23 year old daughter the link for the DNC voice vote. She wrote back that she didn't understand. One secret to the success of the left is to be so outrageous that it won't even compute to uninformed minds. Seems to work. Nobody would do that so nobody did.

From the young girl's reaction, it seems her parents raised a young Republican. They probably feel bad about themselves for failing their little girl, for her not being part of the borg collective...as well they should! Buwahahahahaha!

You know, this actually happened to my child when she was in fifth grade. She'd stayed up well past midnight writing a story about her cat, and it was a clever, well-written tale. She turned it in, only to be told, "You didn't write that. It's too well-written. We think you plagiarized this."

She didn't know what that meant or even how to spell it til she looked it up.

Angry phone calls did nothing to change the teacher's mind.

Finally, I just said, "So your students are stupid, and not capable of any kind of creative thought?" And hung up.

Like Jewel points out, that's not funny. This creepy little vid is just accurate reporting, as anybody who's ever lived someplace like Berkeley or Madison (or God help me, Sebastopol) can testify.

And to Ogrrre's comments, I think the point is that most children are born Republicans, and only have their self-confidence crushed by cruel and selfish adults who aren't hip to their own distortion. Read some Alice Miller.

No,no, no. Kids are born Liberal. They cry, scream, do no work, believe everything they are told and constantly shit themselves. It takes a real man and woman to make a conservative out of something like that.
