Dream Team, 2016? Obama/Obama!

Obama_God_Universe.jpg

Twenty-second Amendment: "Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice...."

OBAMAOBAMA.jpg

Yes, I know, I know .... but it would almost be worth it just to watch the Cintons' heads explode.

[Or as someone once said (and I appropriated): "I try to become more cynical every day, but lately I just can't keep up."]

Of course nitpicking Constitutional scholars might hold that something called the 12th Amendment stands in the way, but these are the Obamas for goodness sake and a Constitutional quibble has never stopped them before. [Details]

The 12th amendment ends:

"But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States."

And the 22nd amendment makes a two-term President "constitutionally ineligible."

But it fails to specify those with the last name "Obama."

It would have worked for the Clinton's. Both of them just want to be where the action is. Obama is different. He wants to be The Won. Being number 2 is not going to cut it for him.

Of course, the Obamas could just argue that technically Obama didn't win the last election, so he wasn't actually elected and can run again...

Do we need to nominate you for WND's Traffic Whore of The Month?

This pointless pandering to mindless ideologues is far afield from your natural metier, G.

Write stories, personal narratives and intelligent commentary. You mine that vein exceptionally well, it's the reason why we all fell in love with your words and particular point of view in the first place.

Barry is Number Two whether he wants to be or not.

"Yes, I know, I know .... but it would almost be worth it just to watch the Clintons' heads explode."

Anyway, half the voters would warmly approve that. Hell, half the voters would not bat an eye if Occupy Wall Street were issued uniforms and small arms by the Democratic Party.

I use the word "would" instead of "might", because apparently, in that party, it is possible to make it through the primary system to actually run for the office, and get tens of millions of votes. Tens of millions of votes, when he owed his start in politics to a murderous little twerp who is on record talking about imposing something Cambodian on the country as some sort of necessary consequence of seizing power, and later thought that was funny--"Guilty as sin, free as a bird, America is a great country." Tell me that any Republican would even come close to winning just one primary with a past history of palling around with someone who built terrorist bombs.

That's why, any who know someone who was aware of that and voted for Obama anyway, know a loathsome degenerate. I'll concede maybe someone wasn't too focused on that part, and voted out of habit, that's fairly common. Let that be a defense for an individual.

But if they had been informed, and voted Democrat anyway, I don't care if it's their own nice old frail grandparents who spoil their grandchildren, Gramma and Grampa would be mortally embarrassing to have around. What would make that any less acceptable an association for an office seeker than one, say, who had sometimes had Christian Identity types over for burgers off the grill?

There is no defense for the Democratic party. No defense for a party which didn't even mutter about a split if someone like that won the nomination. They actually worked to put someone who hangs around with domestic terrorists, and unhinged racist "Reverends" that preach hatred, in power over us all. They really were okay with that, right out of the gate, never even debated it. That's what they are.

Watch the Cinton's heads explode? The L you say!

Times change. Time changes people. What was once important pales with time's passage. What we thought we once knew turns out to be a mirage. And we can't go back. Fortunes rise sometimes, and still always fall. The lesson is, nobody knows what's gonna work. But boldness, more often than not, wins the day. Pick somwhere to make a stand, to make a life. Wandering without deciding does nothing. People will join you, some for a short time, some for longer. Keep trying, keep doing what you think is right. If it's not fun, go do something else.

Good news is, somewhere in that document, it says that anyone who cannot be elected president may not hold the office of vice-president.

For now, anyway...

Are you telling Gerard what he should do on his own blog? Why not go start one of your ow . . . .

Oh, wait . . . . :-)

Hi Daphne!

See what you've done, Gerard? You've made Daphne rap her sceptre on the ground and demand quality for her money! LOL!

*mwuah!* Hi Daph!

Uh, oh.

Ms. Daphne's got hands on hips.

She's got that glare going.

She's THIS close to saying, "Make my %$#@ing day."

I'm pretty sure she's packing.

"What did you say, Lance?!"

"Uh, I said, Debbie's crack is yacking."

I'm heading for the garage.

Charity to the Daphne. She's going through a rite of passage.

Posted by: vanderleun at March 5, 2013 5:59 PM

Daphne knows she is well-loved by all of us, else we wouldn't riff on her.

Just hoping "rite of passage" isn't something that's catching, like chicken pox. Or poverty.

I'd call it the passage of cynicism, judging what they say versus what they actually do. Politicians, I mean. Elected holders of the constitutional grail. The GOP doesn't fare too well once you take off your partisan glasses.

I don't mind the grief, hell, I had a blog. But I was sincere when I asked Gerard to write, he does it so well. I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I found him more persuasive and eminently crushy-worthy when he wrote long, hard and deep.

xxxooo

Hey Lance and Joan!

Hope all's just peachy in your corners of the world.

Too late, Daphne; the bandwagon has started to roll! Linked here: http://bobagard.blogspot.com/2013/03/i-try-to-become-more-cynical-every-day.html
