Democrat Rep. Ed Perlmutter: Guy

My [problem] [nightmare] is that Romney is beginning to remind me of this.

As the last Constitutionally minded President left the White House on his final day in office he turned to his wife and said, "Let's see what Wonderboy can do." He loathed Hoover. The likenesses abound.

As Lord Hugh Cecil said of British Conservative party Prime Minister Robert Peel: "He was an example of the mistake of supposing that even the highest practical abilities are sufficient, without philosophical insight, to save a politician from grave errors. The weakness of the practical mind is that while it clearly sees the existing circumstances of the case, it has small power of foresight."

We've even lost our hindsight.

Well, we all knew that Romney was a lousy politician. Our hopes were that if he could just sneak by the election he would be a good manager. But he is a fixit sort of guy, not a revolutionary. I think we need some revolutionary firebrands to light the way.

Romney is beginning to remind me of this.

Well, I seem to remember someone giving us grief for hoping for a better candidate.

:o)

As long as republican voters keep voting for the left leaning GOP candidates the GOP will keep moving to the left.

Spare me the "lesser of two evils" crap. You want the country to move to the left? Keep voting for it because of the letter after the candidates name.
