Counter-Battery Fire

Counter-battery fire - The targets of CB fire are usually the enemy's guns, launchers and mortars, both the materiel and the men serving them. The formal NATO definition of the term counter-battery is "fire delivered for the purpose of destroying or neutralizing the enemy's fire support system", with the note that it may be proactive or reactive.

An army squad engages in counter battery in Ramadi, Iraq with a 120mm mortar system. This fire mission was the first to receive the "green light" from command and the first to generate confirmed kills, which is why everyone is so excited.

OK, that's the first shot. Now you have to walk the rounds in, and keep hitting the office allied to this felon, and the Party that supported her and these charges.

"We don't settle out differences this way" is weak. "What we see is the same criminal conspiracy..." is where the fire needs to go. Until the enemy themselves are deposing the felon, ending the indictment, and begging for mercy.

But even then, the labeling damage is done. That's how they intended their little fascist putsch to work. That's what need to come back to them.

When it is done - and not before - there will be justice. And future peace.

I'd have more respect for Perry, the Gov who ignored increasing border raiders for 2 years, if he had arrested his enemy. Not meekly submitted and then talked about it. Big whup.

I remember when the threat of socializing the local schools was a red line we would not cross. And I remember when indoctrinating our kids in our local schools with deviant sex habits was a red line we would not cross. I remember when leaving terrorists and terrorists supporting govt in place was a red line we would not cross. I remember when socialized health care was a red line we would not cross. See the pattern? It doesn't matter what The Left does to people like us or on our side. No matter how outrageous, unfair, unprecedented, we will complain about that action and then do precisely nothing. More is coming and it will be much much worse precisely because nothing The Left will do to us is ever bad enough to warrant action. Anything they do to us warrants an empty threat and our meek submission to the new rules. When we can take it no longer, we pack up and move to a place a little further from their reach and promise "never again." Riiiight.

Stop listening to people tell you what is going on and start to listen to the people that can teach you to fight back like Ben Shapiro, Steve Deace, Mark Levin, Kurt Schlichter, and others. Nobody admires us for our inaction and long-suffering. The Left loves when you take pride in waiting for angels to fly in and fix the world. I believe the Jews have a saying that it's not your responsibility to fix the world, but you are not free from trying.

There is a large number of people on our side, they happen to be the ones we consider the nicest people on our side. Tactics like this are designed to put doubt in their minds about future candidates. The indictment doesn't have to be reasonable at all. It just has to give the "nice" people any doubt at all and those "nice' people will once again turn to Karl Rove and GOP, Inc and believe them when they are told "pick our candidate, he's electable."

The "nice" people and the Left will wind up setting fire to this country. It will happen through active efforts of The Left and the passive and cowardly surrender that is the habit of the "nice" people. What The Left has planned for our future is not nice, it's evil. And, being one of the "nice" people will not buy you any protection or comfort when that day comes. There is no nice way to avoid what is about to happen, but if we act now we can keep it from getting out of hand. Widespread civil-disobedience might actually work if we can make it big enough and present in enough places. Choosing not to do that means you will one day have to chose between violence and surrender and surrender will have many advocates and you will have lots of practice doing it. Choose wisely.

"...nothing The Left will do to us is ever bad enough to warrant action."
==================

I'll presume the "us" is colloquial and you're right because all you can do is play the losing game and the game is rigged against *us*.

But if you mean the physical *us* then you may indeed have the opportunity to exercise warranted action.

They intend to enslave or kill you with the very laws you help create, therefore it is impossible to beat them at their own game.

You have to create your own game with your own rules and lure them into playing, and losing, their lives.

Typical mortar monkeys. Always out of uniform!

Casey - The phrase "ill-disciplined rabble" comes to mind.

Please don't get me wrong. I was a mortarman, and later a mortar platoon officer. I commanded a company-sized unit of mortars, and we always had cami and helmets.

The ideology of mortars is fascinating. It was best described by Forrest Kelly, when he malingers in the rear during the JW movie about Iwo Jima. He grabs a cup of coffee and retorts, "you mortarmen have it made!" Never mind that they are one hillock from the shiites. Everything is a matter of perspective.

Seriously, the lack of strategic thought at our national command level is breathtaking. I am lucky I got some training in mayhem when I did (under Reagan). You hoarding 5.56 ball ammo? Me: four deuce.
