Suck Up $4 Bucks: The Obama Gallon

Santa-Monica-Gas-Prices-3-6-11.jpg

Three years ago, the national average for a gallon of regular grade gasoline was around $1.70. The price climbed to $2.60 in 2009 and $2.80 a year later. As of November 11, 2011, gas rose to an average of $3.45 per gallon, roughly twice as much as what we were paying in 2008. When gasoline prices hit their peak at around $4.00, Democrats were demanding Bush's head on a platter, but under Obama the higher prices are simply the new normal. -- -- » Brown Volt Commentary
Remember when gas hovered around this price in the waning days of George Bush.... remember when this came and went as a warning and as a harbinger of doom according to the media? Well, it's been at this level in its essence for over a year now and it would seem that the $4 buck a gallon for Obama Gas is just the new normal. You don't really hear much about it except on a day when oil spikes because the malicious man in the White House has decided that we don't really need to buy oil from our allies on this continent to the north, but still need to import it. At his price, which is, I repeat four-effing-bucks-a-gallon. It's a shame he doesn't have to pay for the immense amounts of gas he uses to wander about the world. Might straighten him out. On second thought, not even three feet of rebar nailed down the center of the spine could straighten this crook out. He's bent forever.

Yes, but under the next Republican administration when gas drops back to $2.75/gal., the new talk will be of " Republicans in bed with the oil companies" again. And again....and again.

...spine?

Make sure to yell at your lefty neighbor, colleague, or brother-in-law for his party locking up US energy (coal, oil, gas, nuclear, and hydro). And when this nice lefty claims he doesn't agree with locking up US energy, you say "NO! That's exactly what you agree with because no matter what happens to this country people like you keep voting for the commie-libs that do lock up US energy." It's vital to America's survival that you make the nice airhead liberals come to face the dark, dirty, vicious, anti-poor, anti-minority, anti-freedom reality of their Utopian dream.

BTW, solar and wind energy, like nuclear and hydro, will be ferociously opposed by the commie-libs just before those sources start supplying commercially significant amounts of power. Commercial-scale solar power will gobble up vasts quantities of water to clean the cells. The most efficient locations for commercial-scale solar will be in the desert Southwest and that will demand lots of water to keep the cells dust free, in a parched region. Wind, as is already happening in CA, will be opposed due to its destruction of birds.

The commie-libs always support the next pipe-dream just before the last pipe-dream is installed. It's just an "accident" that this policy maximizes the cost to society and minimizes the benefit to society.

Love your country, punch a hippy.

"On second thought, not even three feet of rebar nailed down the center of the spine could straighten this crook out. He's bent forever."

Gerard, you are one of the sharpest wits on the conservative scene today! Love it. And forwarded this on to a friend who must daily contend with a large family of mostly-libs who spew this crap at family gatherings.

"Commercial-scale solar power will gobble up vast quantities of water to clean the cells. The most efficient locations for commercial-scale solar will be in the desert Southwest and that will demand lots of water to keep the cells dust free, in a parched region." Scott M, this prediction reminded me of Obama's stable of czars . . . wondered why we needed a Water Czar. This could partially explain it. If and when drinking water is rationed, that will truly be the end of our democratic republic. BO's policies of the last three years are like a bad episode of Twilight Zone.
