Patton Speaks of the War on Terror. Allahpundit Demurs. Unanimity Does Not Ensue.

Allahpundit @ Hot Air posts this clever and spine-stiffening video with the remark,

"I hate crap like this but people on our side love it so here you go. It's a retreat into fantasy: 'If only Patton were still alive and we had the political will and weren't so PC, we'd have already pacified Iraq through the sheer brains and balls of one of Uncle George's tank offensives.' Different war, different time, different enemy, different manpower. Get over it." Hot Air
His readers and commenters are not amused, but it strikes a blow for editorial integrity just the same. After all, a guy's gotta have some standards.

When FDR wanted to win the war he placed Eisenhower and MacArthur in charge of killing "krauts" and "japs". Today's Democrats approve Petreaus to lead the fight in Iraq and then do everything possible to undermine his mission.

Future historians will surely be scratching their heads over the unbelievable political BS going on.

Nancy should have taken Monica with her to Syria so that we really could have gotten our moneys worth. Nancy kissing Assads ring with Monica taking care of business under the table. Then we could have had a roundtable discussion of his underwear color choice and how he really means no one any harm.

Different America as well. One that was not infested with neoliberal socialist bullshit, political "correctness," and touchy-feely "tolerance" for a large segment of the "religion of peace" that seeks the destruction of the United States.
