AKA Yassir Arafat: "To be honest, the French gave us the medical report, that stated that the cause of Abu Ammar's death was AIDS." - lgf

There Goes the Neighborhood: Mexico --A Nation-State Dissolves

Tom Wolfe: "One by one, Marshall McLuhan's wackiest-seeming predictions come true. Forty years ago, he said that modern communications technology would turn the young into tribal primitives who pay attention not to objective "news" reports but only to what the drums say, i.e., rumors. And there you have blogs. The universe of blogs is a universe of rumors, and the tribe likes it that way. Blogs are an advance guard to the rear." -- Happy Blogiversary - WSJ.com

Tucktails Unite!: "Stupid, immoral, cowardly excuses for human beings, the lot of you. If this war is merely a waste of lives and treasure, you are honor-bound to stop it at all costs. So do it. Relive the 1970s. Show us that you accept the inevitable slaughter of millions as irrelevant so that we can all watch the evening news without being bothered. Prove that refugees dying on boats and in camps are merely pictures, and not men, women, and children possessed of human dignity, being tortured because the United States won't live up to its promises. Remind the world again that we are a paper tiger, and then grieve when another embassy is held hostage." (RedState)

Can't believe that the shuttles life is comming to an end without a direct replacement. As someone who lives in tHE UK, i see the shuttle as one of the great things only the USA can do. I doubt I will ever get to see a take off, so good luck to the shuttle in its remaining projects and all that ride in her.
