Riding The View with Rosie

I was going to join the blogpile on Rosie O'Donnell, but suddenly the voices in my head turned into my mother telling me that "It's not nice to mock the retarded."

"But, Mom," I said, "Rosie isn't retarded. She just played a retarded person in that horrible TV/Hallmark card. And if anyone in the history of our current phase of prehistory ever mocked the retarded it was that performance. She shrunk Rainman down into Dewgirl."

"Typecasting, my son, pure typecasting. I watched that show for three long minutes and you can't tell me that Rosie was 'acting.' Everybody

knows she can't act unless you mean "acts out." Acting out seems to be her single talent. I swear that watching her you think you're seeing the whole Jerry Springer Show being acted out in one body."

"Well, she's been out for quite sometime, mom, and that's not an act. She'll be happy to fill you in on that part of her life for about as long as it takes pump a supertanker full of mucus. And she'll do her part there as well. She could probably do it alone just by talking at it."

"Don't be vulgar. I don't care what people do for hobbies, or "lifestyles" as they call them these days. I just don't think they need to inform us all the time. Why, the way Rosie raves on about how great her life is in those magazines I read on line at the supermarket, it seems to me she's living not so much in sin as in a constant state of shame. And that's a shame, what with her mental deficiency and all.

"But what I can't understand is why a nice lady like Barbara Walters spends the declining days of her life sitting around with a something like Rosie. She could sit around with anybody you can mention. You'd think Barbara would have better things to do at this point. She certainly can't need the money. It has to be deeply mortifying to her to watch a subnormal human being display themselves in front of everybody like that day after day."

"It's about the ratings, mom. Rosie makes people watch 'The View.' Before Rosie nobody was going to see it and that made Barbara feel sad and old."

"Well, when I was a girl in 1920 people used to go to Freak Shows when the Circus came to town, and stare at the fat lady, the bearded lady, and the poor unfortunate pinhead and all the other deformed people. My mother forbid us to go, but we snuck in anyway. Mom caught me and took me home by the ear. She stood me in a corner and said decent human beings don't stare at the afflicted.

"Now, you'd think someone like Barbara Walters would have too much class to not only be at a freak show, but starring in one. I'm very disappointed in her. She always dresses so nicely. And that hair. You have to wonder if it is all hers. I guess you can't trust the elderly these days if they don't go gray gracefully.

"After all, people used to have some standards. In my day, we were taught to treat the retarded kindly and help them find their way through life. But that didn't mean we'd give them a microphone and let them get on a barrel and display themselves. When you let someone like Rosie do that they'll only end up beclowning themselves. Before you know it they'll be pulling down their pants and swinging upside down before they're done. You mark my words."

"Mom, Rosie did that just the other day."

"I told you so. The next thing you know, she'll be sputtering any brainless series of words that come tumbling through her head just to get some more attention."

"Mom, Rosie did that today."

"Oh my, the poor thing. Somebody needs to take her to a home and let her learn to do something productive within her God-given limits. I saw some handsome handmade brooms at the crafts shop just the other day."

Gerard, Your mother expresses my thoughts exactly... I attempted to send e-mails to Barbara Walters twice yesterday expressing my disappointment in her for allowing the obnoxious Rosie to drag her into the mud, all for ratings. The e-mails were undeliverable, possibly busy or turned off? Then I saw the picture of Barbara interviewing Hugo Chavez...that says it all. I stopped watching The View several years ago and only saw Rosie's rants on the internet. It was like watching a car wreck, you just can't turn away, lol. Where the men in white jackets?

Your mom is exactly right. Can we make her empress of America?

Gerard, it's fortunate I set the coffee down before reading.

Good stuff.

I got to see some of Rosie's friends yesterday in Washington, DC while I participated in the counter protest "Gathering of Eagles".

Your readers might want to check out some of the video, pictures, and reports about the event. These leftists are really fun to watch. The sad thing to me is that they are totally running the Democrat party. Many Che and Red star posters were displayed. The "scary" anarchists were there, dressed in black. They were annoyed when I pointed out to them that the Waffen SS wore black also. Code Pinko were pretty pathetic. Not a peep about these creeps attending from the MSM. I asked Cindy which communist dictator she admired most.

All in all it was a great showing for the patriots and well worth driving down Interstate 95 in some really horrendous weather conditions to witness. We need more participation from the silent majority, folks. This is a critical juncture for future generations.
Watching those who use this war to further their leftist political agenda with a wink from the MSM should make all patriots a tad agitated and suspicious. Stop sitting on your couch watching these media "marvels" using enemy propaganda videos trying to get you to think the battle in Iraq is a lost cause. They want America to lose again. The faster the better. More patriots need to come out to the lefty marches and demonstrations so they can see for themselves how the media gives all things left a pass. Seeing is truly believing.

Yours with the Republic,

Jim
