How the Mainstream Media Can Get Me to Vote Democratic Again

It is quite simple and easily done. What's more a simple pledge by the major networks, CNN, The New York Times and its assorted camp followers traipsing down the path towards circulation zero, could assure the Democratic Party's hegemony for at least a decade. All these bozos have to do is run front page, top of the news slot, pledges that if we allow the Dems to win they will, once and for

all, shut the fuck up about domestic and international politics long enough for us to forget that, deep down, they're shallow.

It's one thing to have a news media that reports the news, thank you, but quite another that just bludgeons you about the brainpan for years with unremitting whines about "the Disaster economy" at a time when the whole country oozes money from every pore, the "jobs that Americans won't do for twenty-five cents and two Wheaties boxtops per hour, and defeat, defeat, defeat (repeat until the page is full...). I suspect that those who have not tuned these cowards, liars and traitors out completely would, like me, be willing at this point to cut this deal with the Dodos of old media. The only problem is that, like the Dodos, they're too dumb to know it.

Oh well, shoot 'em, stuff 'em, and mount them in the media museum. Too bad really. Like the Democrats they huff and puff on, they once had some nice ideals.

1) No chance whatsoever of them keeping that promise even if they made it. 2) It is going to be great entertainment watching them go the way of the dinosaurs. Buy some popcorn and enjoy!

Getting worn down by the MSM?

Me, too.

Gerard: This is off topic.

I want you to know your site is the first one I search daily.

Your writing (style, content, and reasoning) is a treasure.

I thank you for it.

Be well.

Unfortunately, the media's volume controls don't go to "STFU".

As to that Bella Abzug quote...of course all the men on her staff knew how to type. Can you imagine sleeping your way onto that staff? Can you imagine WANTING to sleep your way onto that staff? I mean, God rest her soul, but we're talking about a slightly more charming Helen Thomas.

In what parallel universe could the word "charming", sans any negatives, be used in the same sentence as either Abzug or Thomas? Thomas's charm meter is at absolute zero, deep space vacuum level, and Abzug made rusty nails on chalkboard sound sweet. Although it is theoretically possible, I suppose, to say for instance that a mere rattlesnake is more charming, or less charmless, than a pit viper or a boomslang........

Heh. That was kind of my point.
