Aargh! That kitty pic damn near made me jump out of my chair.

The closest thing I've ever seen to that expression on a cat was on my own (late, lamented) feline, after he lavishly rubbed against my legs while they were coated in Nair. I had to literally wrestle him under the shower (with intense damage to myself and the bathroom, including the screen that I ripped from the window in a desperate, fruitless attempt to deflect his claws from my person).

Punch line: When I called the vet, concerned that he'd poison himself while licking his fur (that crap didn't come off easily, even from human legs, believe you me), there was a dead pause, followed by a muffled repeating of my story, followed by raucous laughter from what must have been a good chunk of the vet's staff. "Is he bald yet?" she finally gasped out.

Completely humiliating.

That was the one and only time in 21 years that I tried to give my cat a bath, or got near him with water in anything other than his cat dish.

Thanks for reviving a 20-year-old memory!
