BEYOND MUSLIM CARTOON REALITY:
The Jawa Report: Exclusive: Prisoner Abuse Photos from Iraq that MSM Won't Show You Warning: Very Graphic and Very Real.
LIGHT FUSE. THROW IN TOILET.
Yet Another Democratic Scandal for the Ages Goes "Hsssst!" The Senate Intelligence Committee decided today not to investigate President Bush's domestic surveillance program, at least for the time being. Oh well, I guess its back to "All Abu Ghraib All the Time," with a side of Dick Cheney's Lawyer Slaw.

Done With Mirrors on the "the ichor of the legacy media" in the newsrooms of America:
Don't criticize Muhammad. Don't criticize Islam. Don't criticize anyone except the President of the United States. Only Bushco is a fair target. Otherwise, it's not "free speech," it's "hate speech."
DANIEL HENNINGER on the Perfect 10:
The Abu Ghraib photos? A 10 forever. Dick Cheney catching a hunting buddy with some birdshot? An instant 10. The Bush National Guard story? Total 10. How can it be that each downside event in this presidency greets the public at this one, screeching level of outrage and denunciation by the out-of-power party and a perpetually outraged media?.... Collaborating with a willing media to market the opposition party as a haunted house is a cynical, wholly reductionist strategy, with nothing in it for the public good.
THIS VERY FUNNY DUTCH CARTOON REVEALS
the deeper levels of the current Islamic mindset (such as it is).

MARK STEYN ON
ABORTING OURSELVES TO DEATH: In the '70s and '80, Muslims had children - those self-detonating Islamists in London and Gaza and Bali are a literal baby boom - while westerners took all those silly books about overpopulation seriously. A people that won't multiply can't go forth or go anywhere. Those who do will shape the world we live in.

Not shooting the worst kind of people is, of course, the cornerstone of European foreign policy. Now we see the fruits of this nuanced and sophisticated diplomacy all over the Muslim world. I haven't been so satisfied by a policy outcome since half the cars in France were set on fire last year. But if the past is anything to go by, the Europeans will learn nothing from any of this.
